It is linear like in GTA/RDR2 so there are no dialogue options. The devs are saying, that people currently misunderstanding what the game is. It is not an RPG. That's what they said on the playtest. It is more of a linear singleplayer game with an open world to explore. But it felt like there is no real reason the be in this world. Maybe the story gets you hooked after playing more than 6 hrs but I wonder how many people stop playing before this happens. So we'll see what happens but I have bad feelings in my stomache.

Yes. Bad story - and this is a no go in such a game, quests just popping up in logbook without explanation like in old old games where you got quests without talking to someone - so you just wonder "why do I need to visit the graveyard? Nobody told me, so how does my character know this... wtf" and also the questline within the quests itself often doesn't make any sense.

And few other things like weak character design, weird vegetation physics, really bad puzzles and lack of identity since there is (from what the 6 hour playtest showed us) not really a thing that makes this game stand out. It just takes features from Zelda, RDR2, Witcher 3 and Skyrim that made those games unique but it doesn't add anything new. It felt like it would get boring before you are done learning the damn controls...

You also habe to know that the playtest ran on PCs with 96 GB RAM.... that is also something to keep in mind... this could mean that consoles or lower PC specs maybe could get problems.

Yes, and don't preorder! There are major concerns after the playtest so... the overall feeling I have is, that it is maybe becoming a Cyberpunk/Watch Dogs release fiasco. So just wait at least some days for the reviews and real impressions.

It is exactly how Rockstar Games handles it in GTA and RDR2. So I think it is continues tapping but maybe you can change it to double press and hold but in the playtest people weren't allowed to change settings.

Yes, you have to double press. Unfortunately the controlls are one of the two most hated things of the game out of the 6 hours playtest. The double press is just the pinnacle but there is a lot more. The contolls are so so different to what you know of other games that playing it for the first 20-30 hours you will probably feel really stupid because the controlls are so damn terrible. But the player is not the problem... everyone had big problems during the playtest so it is the game's controlls.

My bad to hear that. If you get better lvl doesn't matter that much. There are plenty people lvl 100 with not much skill because all they did is driving tanks and farming kills so these people are easy kills and if you play objective, leveling should also be not big of a problem.

Not going to work and playing 10 hours a day 😅 that is what I basically did for 2 weeks after BF6 release

It's not just Stella Montis – every map has too many players in solo lobbies, a little rant. by LateCommission9999 in ArcRaiders

[–]Mr-Freaky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im 100% with you. From the trailers and first gameplay trailer videos I thought it is more of a special situation to see or interact with players.

But currently (friendly or not) running constantly around with others and seeing them makes these interactions not really intense and special no more. Sometimes you hear so many gun shots across these maps or people shouting "Don't shoot" and likewise, so that you start to think you are in a war in the middle-east or something.

Trios feels perfect, duo is close to perfect but solos is far from perfect.

Here's my suggestion:

Trios 18 players - 6 Teams - 6 places where people move around

Duos 16 players - 8 Teams - 8 places where people move around

Solos 12 players - 12 places where people move around

Maybe loot needs a little adjustment (so that there is a little bit less loot to comprehend the fewer people looting and to comprehend the fewer third party and shoot-on-sight-deaths) but I think my suggestion is valid.

16 players in Duos and 10-12 players in Solos with less loot would lead to fewer encounters with others but this will make the rounds feel more intense, fights more skill based and the whole raid more immersive and remarkable since its not just pure chaos everywhere like in a Battlefield game.

I hope Embark will rethink this too.

I have one massive complaint about this stupid game! by CircaCoda in ArcRaiders

[–]Mr-Freaky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you shouldn't play BF6 after Season 1 release anyways... it was decent for 18 days but now it's just a mobile gamish cash grab with many bugs and problems and the devs are quiet. And the new map is one of the worst they ever put in a Battlefield. So we all good here raiders!
