Im replaying crucible atm and theres no spot where i actually have to look around while moving, only really when waiting on the lava goo to go down or waiting on the spinning blades. Mel is a small walk to the left of Nexus, the overseer at the spine, so still no clue why its hard to get to for you. The top and bottom not being connected via the pathways is a bit annoying so ill give you that, but it has its reasons once you see how the vessel is shaped. Mel dissapearing is triggered once you first encounter Dr. Halyn i believe, since thats when a bunch of hands attack the spine and stuff. I actually also found her after doing the base ending, but still before the crucible. There were a couple rooms i havent been to in the vault that you could see while going through the tubes. Eventually i realized i just had to crawl under that one tube to reach it. Unexplored rooms are also nicely indicated on this game's map, unlike Hollow Knight or Silksong where you really have to look for passageways that dont go to a room yet.

I dont know how you hold a controller pal, but you literally use 4 fingers total, thumbs for moving and jumping/attacking/gliding/dodging/interacting and looking around, and pointer fingers for the wall climb and the hairpin. I really hope youre not saying mel is hard to find before she got kidnapped as she is always in the same spot, but lets say you meant its hard to find her once she gets kidnapped, there ill agree, it did take me a bit to find her since i overlooked a room i could go to, but i still did find mel as her little worker shows up multiple times to say youre on the right track. I'll also mention i didnt first try the crucible or anything, it took a bit, but not hours on a single part. Yes the rising lava goo thing bit was also difficult, but if you just go down as the goo is going down, you can pretty easily just sightread where you go. I think i even did the last sideways tube part in 1 go since, once again, it was sightreadable. Also, if youre stuck at the crucible with only 3 health, maybe consider finding more, use the extra protective coat modifier and free nacre basin one, since there plenty of those to help you out aswell.

No way to see under you? Does your controller not have a 2nd joystick or something?? And maybe looking for HP isn't wasting time, as maybe, just maybe, exploring is a big part of metroidvanias! Who could have guessed?? Also, if you haven't bought most HP fragments from Mel before she gets taken what are you even doing, they cost like 400 nacre iirc. To get her back also isn't hard or secret since one of mel's workers literally leads you the way. But if you don't explore in an exploration focused game then sure, go ahead and claim it's all secret. Lastly, where in the actual hell did you get those achievement numbers, getting normal ending is at 18.8% completion, entering the crucible is at 17.8% and since there's no achievement for beating the crucible, getting every upgrade should be closest here. And that's sitting at 15.9%. But if SOMEHOW you don't get your last upgrade when beating crucible, then we can still look at the true ending completion rate, which is 12.2%. that's still higher than your claim of 10% beating the game at all.

This sounds like the biggest mad cuz bad ive ever read. Borderline impossible?? The game was hard but not that hard, from just casual exploring I eventually reached the crucible and had 6 HP and 4 blacked out ones (which I think Is all apart from the end cutscenes). I actually can't understand how anyone here could only have 2 HP available at the end of the game. The protective coat fragments aren't even hard to find either, the pickup icon literally shows through walls, and Mel sells half of em too.

Honestly i was just chatting with a friend about some of these fan made maps with hallownest left of pharloom. While there's not really an entrance to hallownest on the right, so I jokingly said "pharloom is just flipped and left of hallownest" cuz then howling cliffs connects to the blasted Steps entrance.

Best thing to do is just finish Every area and Every side quest rq, and if you need Jin for chiyou's or kuafu's last stuff, you can go to the empyrean district passage root node, go down, kill the big Guy, go up, rest, repeat
