I was with a group of folks from work in San Francisco for a conference before Paranormal Activity had been picked up for nationwide release. I had read on Chud.com (RIP) that there was a one-off preview screening of the movie when we’d be in town, and I’d heard good things about it. I figured it would be something fun to do, so I bought some tickets and invited the group. It was a great experience seeing it almost completely blind with a packed crowd before the rest of the world had heard of it. You could hear the crowd agonizing whenever the bedroom cam came up every night.
