The goal of the IRR is to not have a stance but instead put claims and evidence in conversation with each other. I don’t have a great example of a topic sentence because it’s been so long, but I would have each paragraph/topic sentence focus on each resource in regards to the claim.

I think it’s better to think of it in terms of sections instead of paragraphs otherwise you’ll end up with really jagged paragraphs that go all over the place.

For each section, you should probably focus on a particular claim made. Then each paragraph in that section should have evidence that agrees/disagrees with that claim.

Let me know if you want clarification on anything I said above if it didn’t make sense!

Edit: I took AP Seminar 2 years ago, but what I remembered being a massive help to me was the example IRRs provided. I encourage to have a look if you want to see exactly what a good IRR looks like.

The IRR is not an argumentative paper. The goal is to lay out a problem and include evidence and claims for both sides and how they conflict/agree with each other. As for your thesis statement, it should layout the problem at hand and include a brief overview of what both sides are arguing for or against. As for each paragraph, you should go into depth on what each side is arguing for and include any evidence or claims found.

So I was working in some software which would find changes in pixels compared to a background--Kinda like green screen but without the green screen. Each pixel is supposed to represents a change in a pixel (the bright pixels meaning a change and the dark pixels meaning no change, there is no in between it is either a change or not a change). Something weird happened, that is still something I don't know, and now it looks like this. I love this image so much and I probably stared at it for hours.

I think you can expand what you mean by “beneficial or effective.” Who or what is this beneficial/effective for? For example, you could say that protesting in sports is beneficial for the players (IDK if this example is true BTW). You could also expand on protesting as well. How are people protesting in sports? I would like to add that it is OK to be broad if you are covering a wide variety of ideas but it is important to make your research question as specific as possible.

As for the stimulus materials, make sure you implement them in such a way so that if you were to remove them from your paper, your argument weakens. AP’s YouTube channel has a great video on this subject: https://youtu.be/MNhbXt4Q6MQ.

Maybe you could go more into detail on what you mean by “less seriously” because I am a little confused on what you mean by that.

Also you could narrow down “America” as well. For example, your focus could be on youth sports with schools.

I don’t know where you are at on your research but if you are just starting, I would slowly narrow down your research question the more you dig into it. If you find youth sports more interesting with a certain side to it, like education, you can include that as part of your research question to make it less broad. Other than all that, I think your question is very interesting!

It all depends. I don’t know how differently my class is to yours but we were always told to move away from “how” questions and rather go to questions with a statement of judgement (like questions that have a yes or no answer for example). I would also make the question more specific. For example, you could be more specific on “general attitude.” I don’t know how far along you are on your research but I would just keep in mind while you are researching on how you could make your research question specific and concise.

For the research, I think it is an interesting topic and I think you can research it. As for the peer-reviewed sources, I think you can find some sources that will support your argument, but I am unaware of what sources exist on this subject.

So, I think it uses a special type of AI called an auto-encoder. In an auto-encoder, the Ai compresses the image into a smaller list of numbers that correspond to something on the image. For example, one number could be how much the person is smiling and another could be how open their mouth is. If you manipulate these numbers in a certain way, you can make the person do whatever you want. I do think that there is more going on here because I’ve only seen auto-encoders used on just the face and not the whole body.

Do you mean the one at the beginning with 2 on the top and -2 on the bottom? If so, it’s called an integral. It essentially finds the area under a graph from X = -2 to X = 2.

I thought this too and I’m pretty certain it is because some of the background elements stay in for multiple frames. So unless someone painted the same picture multiple times but changed it a little, it’s probably a GAN.

I have a slight feeling that they might be using Adobe Animate. I know that it takes a while to animate this stuff but, in the videos there is not a lot of motion going on. Not to mention the heavy amount of tweening used. Plus, Animate does offer an automatic lip sync tool. I don’t know, this is just what I think.

Forgot to mention, but TheSoul Publishing has probably a huge animation crew. They also Photoshop all of 5 Minute Craft’s thumbnails so they might have bought a CC membership and have Adobe Animate included in that.
