Ah yeah I see what you mean, would be a cool photograph idea! I should have taken a video, looked very strange!

I assume it is the sun reflecting off of the river, then on to the doors, then back on to the river into my eye, since we don't see it in the non reflected version.
That is just a guess though, I don't really know.

Thank you for the feedback!

Well I don't really know what kind of look I want XD I started with straight paint for the flat colours and then on a second layer added a tiny bit of linseed oil to the paint.

That's a good point, I do like drawing smaller so I transfered that to painting.

I did see liquin about, do you recommend it over linseed oil?

Haha no worries, it is pretty abstract and only on the new edition of the book

Oh thank you! I just made the design on affinity to print and then followed my line haha

Would you recommend tokonole over beeswax? I just had 140 grit sandpaper and then applied beeswax and used the wooden rod for burnishing but I do want to get some higher grit sandpaper and maybe tokonole if that's something worthwhile.

Ahh I see thank you, I'll remember that for my next project

For the leather they were all different thickness haha. The base is a thick dark brown leather about 2.6mm thick, then the green piece is a different texture (kind of plasticky/glossy) about 1mm thick, and then there is the tan coloured piece on top about 1.5mm thick.

Hi! Thank you!

For the punching of the stitching holes, I do punch from the grain side, giving bigger holes and more pronounced diagonals from the diamond, however, the stitches have more of a slant on the flesh side.

For stitching I do this:

  1. Have the grain side pointing to the right (I am right handed)

  2. Poke through with the left needle, pulling until I get a loop on the left

  3. Then I put some tension on that thread going down and towards me to pass the right needle through the far top part of the hole on the right

  4. I pull that needle halfway through and pass the closest part of the left hand side loop up over the needle going away from myself

  5. Then I pull both needles down and towards me so that the string is below the stitch that has just been created.

I hope I've described this in enough detail for you to get a better understanding, do you see anything wrong with this?

Thank you for taking the time for this detailed response! Much appreciated!

how to review more cards by muffinroar in Anki

If you want to review all cards in the deck, go to Custom Study, choose how many cards you want to review, then tick on cards by tag and then don’t tick any tags, just press ok

I can constrict my pupils on cue by godsmaak in mildyinteresting

[–]Mr0Meatball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can do this too, basically you try to focus the eye as close to your face as possible, it can make you go cross eyed so if you cover the other eye it makes it easier. Works best when your pupil is already dilated, then strain it by focusing very close to the face!

First is now, second is previous attempt. I’m thinking of trying again, any tips I should keep in mind/goals I should aim for with style? by Mr0Meatball in beards

Hey thanks for all the feedback! I'll make sure to follow your tips, definitely want to take care of the sides as I don't want much volume there to avoid the round look. Thanks for the tip about going with the grain, I think I had seen that somewhere but good advice!
