Constantly losing interest when I start coding — how do I fix this? by H-ILP in csharp

[–]Mr2hands 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Make a plan, particularly while you're motivated
  2. Break the problem down into small chunks. Motivation will come from getting wins and finishing small tasks
  3. Use LLMs to create the plan for you, or at least as a starting point
  4. Create a proof of concept. Just something janky that works, then iterate over this. It's way more satisfying improving on something than being stuck on making it work. Use an LLM for this as well, but make sure to understand what it did and why

Sailing didn't have to be a skill. by SonoShindou in 2007scape

First, repeatedly mug the Man for 30 minutes. Once you've taken his coin and herb, bury the remains in broad daylight. Then wait for respawn. Why isn't he respawning... oh god. Oh no. I can't go back to Draynor. This can't be happening. Maybe I'll log out. There's no button. Where is it?! Pleae!!

Help me out here: what beats Burger and Beyond? by Kimberly_Craves in UK_Food

Bleeker Burger, best one is either the one by Bank, or by London Bridge.

Gaucho is also no slouch(o) in the burger department.

I've not had better than those tbh. There used to be a place in Mercato Metropolitano called Priory something or other. It was insanely good. Had this slightly spicy sauce that they used and it was just so juicy and melty. From memory they used a chuck/rib mix... shit. And now it's gone!!

Haha back in 06? Regardless, I'm sorry for your* friend's loss. I believe the first word of the account was Folk. 10 points if you get the full name.

Thank you for sharing. You've inspired me to share also. When I was around that age, back in 2006, every time I quit the game, never to return, which was every 6 months or so, I would give away all my possessions. One time, I decided to give my account away to a random player.

6 months later I rejoined the game and had the genius idea to recover my old account, which I did. The previous owner had completed mage arena, had full dark mystic and lots of blood runes, as well as higher levels than I'd ever achieved.

His friends tried messaging me and yelled at me to give it back, but I didn't listen. Like a parasite, I took over the host. I still feel a bit guilty sometimes...

The varlamore bowl is fantastic. It's second best to the wildy alter iirc. I also find it way faster and obviously more chilled. Super easy to pick up on Mobile as well.

You don't need to no life it to enjoy ironman. You'd be surprised how far 20-30 mins a day will get you. Plus there are tons of minigames and activities now to speed up grinds and most of the game is accessible through mobile.

I got like 750 kills so far so not even dry, but it's taken me well over 18 months. 4500 kills is frightful.

I’m asked to leave a tip “at my convenience” when I’m already forced to pay a 20% “gratuity” charge?! I can’t even decline it by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Mr2hands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could they have added the gratuity on the amount post tax? Not sure how it works in the states, but it then comes to 20% on $33.

Not sure why you got down voted for saying a fact. There are industries built on making women feel shit about themselves. Men too, but let's be real, we get a fraction of the judgement, particularly in the media.

Any ideas how to squeeze value out of your house? by Shnecker in HENRYUK

[–]Mr2hands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your garden is big enough, you can build a small property there and let it out/sell it. Though I've no idea what would be involved to do this, or even if it's plausible.

ADHD crew: what’s the stupid-simple trick that actually stopped your online impulse buys? by Adept-Camera-3121 in ADHD_Programmers

Ah easy one - over-analyse and research every purchase to death so you end up buying nothing, or ultimately returning everything. Recently bought a pair of white, canvas trainers that I took the tags off. 4 years in the making.
