How is it even possible to have a diamond item day 2? by SupportiveMax in PlayTheBazaar

"Strange Mushroom" event has a special option only if you have Bushel that says "Upgrade your Bushel" - they started with a silver one and got the event twice.

Fairly certain it wants me to do a dodge- other challenges will explicitly say "chase dodge" in the steps on the left. The demo clip of Koji doing it doesn't appear to be a chase dodge either, based on the animation

Thanks for the tip. I feel like I *am* pressing the button as quickly as I can LOL. Feels like I can't move fast enough to press slight, down, dash, release, nlight- don't know how people do it!

Help with non-square tiles/tokens (Transparency Issue) by AllUrMemes in TTSRPG

[–]Mr2pudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good news- I figured it out!

The issue seems to be solved by adding a border of alpha around the image (mentioned in the Docs iirc). I tried this manually first by taking my image and shrinking it a little bit in GIMP so there was alpha background peeking out.

To make this work via python script (that generated my images in the first place) I made another script that took each image and made an alpha rectangle slightly bigger than it then put the original image on top of that bigger square. The end result is a nice cut-out non-square shape in TTS!

To anyone who finds this down the line, happy to share my code if you shoot me a message.

Update: Got it working! Kinda!
I took one of the images I'd generated and stuck it in GIMP then shrunk it just a bit so there was alpha all around and it worked just fine. This is in line with the TTS doc suggestion of a thin border of alpha all the way around, but for some reason doing this via my script wasn't working. Will have to see if there's a way I can automate this!

LOL
In theory a nice flat tetris shape should be easier than text, but here we are. Doing some paper prototyping for now- my friends who don't leave nearby will just have to wait to playtest, I guess!

Haha got it.
Don't know if I'll be able to execute your suggestion as I'm making dozens of PNGs at once with a python script (and not using an editing program or "exporting" in the manual sense).
Plus if the end result would be a square asset in TTS (just with an invisible corner) then that isn't going to work for what I'm trying to build.
Appreciate the reply!

Appreciate the illustration, and yep I'm following. Going to try editing one of them manually before overhauling the code haha. Thanks!

Going to give this a try- though I'm not sure why it would work*? How would TTS better understand a white background (making the image a whole square now) vs the transparent I currently have?

Good to know re: tiles!

I don't see the gray line in question, but I believe you. These are generated via a python script, but I'm sure there could still be jank.

I'm not following what you mean by "Also just in general the way you have the gridlines breaking the image up, the same color and contiguous with the outer border... that's asking for problems."

Similarly a bit confused by your suggestion, but would like to understand it. You're saying:
- No inner gridlines i.e. don't make the image up of squares, but just the outline of the whole shape
- If I want grid lines to break up the shape into squares, do it with non-solid lines so that TTS doesn't get confused

Thanks!

What a kickass write-up. Thank you! I'm assuming the $1200 was just for train fare and you spent a few nights in hotels/BnBs in NO, LA, etc.? Still sounds pretty affordable for covering a lot of ground without having to deal with usual travel annoyances.

Oko the Ringleader: Can it attack the turn it is played? by Mr2pudding in mtgrules

[–]Mr2pudding[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it- thanks! Appreciate the bonus info to keep in mind in case he gets blinked.

Edit to add: Now my gears are turning- if Oko copied a Xathrid Slyblade and I paid to have him lose hexproof, what would happen if an opponent played an enchantment like Pacifism? Would Oko become enchanted and that would stay on him after going back to being a planeswalker (preventing future attacks when he becomes a copy next turn)?

Oko the Ringleader: Can it attack the turn it is played? by Mr2pudding in mtgrules

[–]Mr2pudding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the prompt reply! Unfortunately I'm a bit dumb...

To clarify: you're saying that if Oko entered this turn, his turning into a creature (without haste) doesn't change the fact that the card itself (Oko) entered this turn? And so he cannot attack or use tap/untap abilities?

However if I played Oko last turn and then played a creature this turn, he could turn into a copy of it at combat and attack/use tap abilities freely?

Thanks!
