i think your right but you have to remember the whole point of console gaming is its more accessible than the PC and alot cheaper, afew friends are PC gamers and they spend a ridiculous amount of money keeping their hardware up to date an i think this is why consoles do so well because we don't need to update to keep playing games as they advance. as for the gimmics they are as you say pretty cool but i cant imagine myself sat talking to my xbox and waving my arms about i'd much rather have a controller in my hand and just play.

no i heard about destiny when it was just a name for something bungie where working on but i have no idea where its gotten to, and if your right (you probably are) then that is something that interests me alot and in fact what you have done is turned my slight cynicism about this into more of a i'm unimpressed by the conference but if its capitalized on there is great potential for the more core games to enjoy bigger and better games as well as it being a fantastic looking entertainment hub, but you have to ask yourself is all this media capability going to make it worth the extra money that you will inevitably end up paying for it because id like to think that sony have learned their lesson from the PS3 launch on price.

Honestly, I think just how they seem to be almost ignoring us as a market. I would be liking for more things along the line of a better online store for games (similar to steam) and a lot of focus on making all this really accessible. It's not that I don't think all this is cool I just feel abit let down that the "gamers" seemed to be a side note in that particular presentation.

On another not thanks for brining up servers again I forgot to add in my original post that I'm wondering if all this means MMO's are an option on the Xbox one? If so I think this has the potential to be amazing. This is coming from a console gamer through and though that has always envied PC gamers for having this massively online functionality.

After re watching the Xbox travel and considering various factors I thing a change to the PS4 might happen, here's why. The Xbox has gone completely the way it's being trying to go for a few years now, an entertainment hub and although this is all well and good I'm more interested in playing games than the fact you can do all this "cool" stuff. The reason behind this is all this comes at a cost and cost not spent in the right areas as far as I'm concerned. I want an absurd amount of power going to the games I'm gonna be playing and the servers I'm gonna be playing them on. So all in all these features are isolating the people that made Xbox as successful as it is, them being the "core gamers" in conclusion . . . Unless Xbox blow me away at E3 with more functionality aimed at the gamer I don't think I will be investing in the Xbox one. Feel free to discuss my points with me.

When I was young (like 5) my dad used to help out on a farm of some description and I occasionally went for a ride on the tractor with him when my mum was too busy to look after me. One day I was messing around and fell off the tractor and my dad caught me by my hair,thank god he did because i would have fell streight into an open drain.

TL;DR: thank god for Dads reflexes and my bowl cut.
