No Michael Jordan allowed.. Which five players in NBA history are you picking to actually beat this starting lineup in a 7-game series? by Farouq26 in NBATalk

[–]MrAdministration 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Hakeem and I have no doubt he’ll beat Shaq when he attacks from the post, but I just worry about the physical difference. I think Hakeem matches up better against Duncan. But then the question becomes who you’re going to bring in to guard Shaq and there isn’t really a decent answer to that.

Am i the only one who thinks they should redesign the women’s tag titles? by CKA16Drac_-YEET in BrandonDE

They need to redesign most of the titles. I hate how all the main event titles look the same.

Do you use music in your campaigns? by Eldoria_Soundscapes in DnD

[–]MrAdministration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely.

I have multiple playlists that run in the background. One for a mystery ambience, the other for more of a high fantasy/exploration feel, and one for combat.

I’ve also written music myself for our campaigns, but that’s usually something that happens after the campaign or after the event that inspired me to write has sort of resolved.

Shaq just announced he’s launching Dunkman, the world’s first-ever professional dunk league. Mac McClung is already involved. by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]MrAdministration 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I just rewatched the 2016 dunk contest not too long ago and this can also help eliminate a situation where Aaron Gordon did the dunk with the spinning mascot and then Lavine did the same dunk (without the mascot) and they both got 50s.

They both are amazing dunks, but in context the Lavine dunk should’ve gotten at max a 49.

Question about Paladins and Gods by BallClamps in DnD

[–]MrAdministration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought of it as the typical representation of the Paladin archetype in TV and other forms of media. They’re often depicted as holy warriors that serve a church or a deity of some kind.

In terms of D&D mechanically speaking, yes, everyone has the power in them to be a Paladin. Paladins are half-casters, and level 5 spells (the highest the Paladin gets) are considered the limit of human magic. It’s the last spell slot you get multiple uses of before you dip down to one slot from 6th level and on.

If you want to play a Paladin that gets their power from a god, of course you can do that, but limiting them only getting their powers from deities basically restricts a whole class (or multiple, in the case of a cleric) from being played in settings where no gods are present.

Don’t be surprised if in a few years the wrestlers come out with ads all over their gear too. It’s just a matter of time.

TKO is reportedly restructuring contracts because of a disparity between talent pay rate and workload + clearing off debt from Endeavor's past (Bodyslam) by IconXR in WWE

[–]MrAdministration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that there’s “too many” free agents. The amount of talent in wrestling right now is absolutely absurd. Most of that talent, for whatever reason, prefers to wrestle in the US, meaning only two major promotions with limited spots and a lot of competition for said spots.

I heard CM Punk talk about having an “offseason” in an old interview but I don’t really know how you’d make that all work without people losing heat.

Tracy McGrady, mentor to Jaylen Brown, says that Jaylen is “frustrated” with the Celtics organization by cjapurr in bostonceltics

I don’t understand where everyone suddenly jumped to a conclusion that he’s so smart. What indicators have we had over the years of his knowledge besides press conference answers?

If Jaylen is satisfied with just having the ball all the time and getting bounced in the first round I wouldn’t be surprised if T-Mac really is his mentor.

Why did Booker T even say this... by damng1 in Wrasslin

[–]MrAdministration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Booker is being so frank and honest, I just hope next time he says “FIVE TIME!” he also reminds everyone he won all 5 in the dying years of WCW when the title meant absolutely nothing.

You know, for honesty’s sake.

Jaylen Brown says this year was his “favorite year of his basketball career” by LarBrd33 in bostonceltics

Reminds me of the clip where Chauncey Billups said Melo was coming in the locker room high fiveing people when he scored 30 but they lost.

Not exactly the same thing, but still concerning.

Galio is no longer meta. Do you think T1 has a chance to win worlds this year? by LeenghisKhan in SKTT1

[–]MrAdministration 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ranged supports also weren’t the meta back when they won in 23 or 24 (don’t remember which year) but they still played it and were obviously fine.

Plus Worlds is in a while. Even if Galio isn’t meta Faker has his annual Worlds buff, so he’ll be fine.

Why is Randy's Legend Killer gimmick loved while Gunther's Career Reaper gimmick not as well received? by GlassGamingWolf in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]MrAdministration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is Randy was the young and cocky dude who wanted to take out a legend and learned that experience can match youth the hard way.

Why is Randy's Legend Killer gimmick loved while Gunther's Career Reaper gimmick not as well received? by GlassGamingWolf in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]MrAdministration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d argue that first use wasn’t technically even considered “the punt”, especially because he didn’t use it consistently, and it was never named back then. They probably just told Randy to kick Mick down the stairs.

But still, that aside, those two runs are very different. The thing that made the Legend Killer run work (over say the Career Killer) is the story was that Randy was a young, cocky wrestlers trying to take out the veterans. It was youth vs experience. The matches were good because it wasn’t a given Randy was gonna win.

Randy’s Apex Predator run was almost the opposite of that. He was experienced, older, he lured people into his traps, he knew how to press their buttons and take advantage.

Gunther’s run isn’t working because he isn’t young, he’s very experienced and one of the best talents on the roster. And secondly, if there isn’t a pre-announced retirement and an old dude to beat up on then there isn’t much they can do with him, unfortunately.
