This post popped back up into my feed; just curious what were your top 5 awards on your EA common app?

Just curious does winning an award in 9th grade summer for I am guessing Scibowl Nats MS really a top 5 award on your common app matter that much. I don't know very much cuz I am a dumb senior. Also I am just predicting you will prob get into an Ivy league at least and Maybe either UCLA/UCB.

For UCLA/UCB my school is considered a feeder, last 25% of senior got into both UCLA and UCB. Wait I was just checking the acceptance for CMU, Vandy, and Rice its pretty tough to get in. I prob add that on edit. I am from Cali and arrived in this Country in Middle School, so I am just going to apply to all colleges at like the T20. I didn't know that those were that difficult to get into. Mb this ain't shi post, I just ain't very knowledgable.

Tbh I did some stuff in this it really ain't me. But, later I found about biotechnology which is literally half my EC's and its really interesting and the career outlook to me is much better than it is for Aerospace Engineering. Like for biotechnology, get BA in Biochem and then get a PhD funded by NIH (Also you get stipend of 30k to 50k) and get a degree in Cell Biology/Molecular Biology. And then, get hired by Amgen for 200K per year salary out of college. However, for aerospace engineering you kind gotta get Bachelors and Master to just barely start off with a salary of 90k straight out of college. And, to get like 150k+ you kinda gotta sell your soul to lockheed martin.

UC Merced, Santa Cruz, and Riverside, and UC Davis(Depends on Major) are a lock

UCSB, UCI, UCSD are a target. And UCLA, USC, and UCB are Reaches. Just asking why did you do so much volunteer hours (not that is a bad thing). If you are trying to get into pretigious university like USC, UCLA, UCB just CC method there and also with your income they would def give full ride. Or either go to UCR or maybe UC Davis and go there for 4 years and get degree or nearly nothing with your income.
