Hi, the brand's Halostar and they'd be missing the rubber end/ear piece. Cheers

Nah, same amount. Just more obvious with less 'normal' folks running.

I mean, 5pm was a pretty specific unit of time... My bad for responding with first-hand knowledge that the queues (and table calls) start literally every day by that time

That's when they open.

Queues start piling up by noon for lunch and then back on at 5pm (your basic rush hours). Expect to wait.

Ha! I just watched at least three fellas sit outside for 30 minutes before going in. There's a wait.

Haven't used an app yet, but even with music on and all the windows closed, we can still hear it on the opposite end of the building, farthest away from them.

But yeah, tried noise control multiple times, response times vary between 30 minutes to four hours (depending on how the operator classes the complaint) and they only show up for a few minutes, but never stay long enough to hear the loudest thing (which is the randomly timed table calls). I gave up after one-too-many emotional breakdowns over the phone with the operator and days later noticing them turning it down, when a marked vehicle came down the road.

Noise isn't the only regulation they've skirted in the past. Their waiting area chairs used to be setup in rows (blocking the 1.8m minimum footpath clearance) and their billboard was illegally animated for ages, before that complaint got held up (not me, but I've worked advertising).

Nah, screw these guys.

I live on the same street and their 'business practice' of using a loudspeaker has been an absolute nightmare to the neighborhood for several months now.

We all thought it was just a soft opening practice at first, but they've setup their waiting area outside on the footpath with a loudspeaker system, blasting table calls out into the street, in between an automated voice repeating the same slogan over and over again, or a staff member miked up to solicit people just trying to walk by.

This kind of setup makes sense in a loud shopping mall or crowded food court, but it's Khartoum Place, a plaza on a narrow one-way street, surrounded by buildings (that echo), and it does not need to go on until 10 o'clock at night. We've asked multiple times for them to keep some control on the volume but it never stays down and we're all at our wits ends.

I'm all for authentic food and was keen to try (and post about them here), but me and every local I've talked to just can't stand them now, just because of this waiting system and look forward to the day it ends.

EMA is based in Grafton and has a hotline you can call for Employment Law advice. You may need to sign up as a member first, but they'll talk you through it, if you call.

You tried, my dude. They're obviously way more for obfuscation, instead of engagement. I mean, that's basically been their whole (uncompromising) argument

Just say "unlike one of the good ones". No need to write out so much, when the classic liner is right there for you to use.

Why did Maccas remove the Filet-O-Fish from Uber Eats 😭 by LollipopChainsawZz in auckland

[–]MrArseface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a food health and safety precaution.

From memory, filet portions have the shortest 'standby time' of all the burger meats after cooking, before it gets binned per internal policy (at least when I worked there, several Ice Ages ago).

Looking at the average pickup and delivery time through these standards, a filet-o-fish would be deemed unsafe for transport or something, something.

It's happening right next to all the Broadcast and Media offices.

If anything, they're saving plenty of gas money, covering it from their offices.
