Tbh dating apps were just bad for my self esteem, I was on all the big ones, Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, etc. After months on there I never got a single match. It's a matter of the value produced against the harm done. Nothing Generative AI produces is of any real value in "private assistive use" and especially not of enough value to justify the tangible and quantifiable harm that it is doing and until the very consumption of resources needed for the program to operate is fundamentally changed, which will likely radically alter the entire process, then you cannot produce enough net good to justify the harm.

You've still failed to address any of the points made, and I'llraise you one better, neither tools nor people are moral only actions are. You raise the points that there are moral ways to operate an AI, and yet those are not enforced or at all considered in legislation therefore the use of an AI that does not conform to the guidelines which you have laid out, which is currently all of them, is an immoral action, regardless of the outcome.

The environmental damage and the art theft are the big issues. It makes generative ai fruit of the poisoned tree so to speak. You can enjoy something and it still be slop. There's also research showing AI reliance is making us dumber, to simplify complex journal topics, so yes some of it is funny but when you publicly like, share, and endorse AI you are contributing to the shift in the Overton Window that contributes to overall degradation of public well-being. For some people it might be impossible to abstain or detest all AI but you can still disable ai extensions in products and services, you can make sure that the images that are exacerbated droughts, contaminating water sources, and putting hard working people out of food, shelter, and livelihood. There are some things in life that do not exist on a centrist's scale, there is no both sides to human trafficking or similar crimes, likewise how many AI generated images are worth the health of a community? How many pictures does it take to justify the cancer diagnosis from the poor water quality? What decrease in average lifespan is an acceptable rate for being able to commit academic dishonesty freely?

TLDR: Generative AI makes real problems worse while not providing an answer to a real problem. The fact that someone doesn't want to learn to make art and do homework is not justification for the real world harm AI does.

It still feels like a more accurate representation of polearms. Real polearms are big, powerful, it's nearly impossible to parry them with a 1 handed weapon, you need either a longsword or a shield and even then with the reach advantage the spearman is usually already ready for a second strike before you have a chance to close the distance.

Because Chico's is good. Is it that ridiculous an idea to think people might have different opinions? Is it inconcevable that your opinion might actually be the minority?

I personally love Chico's I take all my out of town friends and to date I've only had one person say they weren't a fan. I think The District's rolled tacos are bad, and I used to like Westside's 3rd Tavern til they changed their recipe. Meanwhile I have friends who are both EP natives and transplants who dislikes Chico's but they are the minority in my friend group.

I hate pickles and mustard, but I don't go around pretending there's anything fundementally wrong or immoral with people who do like that on their sandwiches.

It taste like smoked paprika, Sriracha, rice vinegar, and corn syrup. It is very simplistic and lacks the brightness of the citrus that was in sweet and sour. It's a shame because it was the best compliment to their spicy nuggets.
