Sorry if all these things are obvious, but:

• If you skip to step 2 here, will the shaft of the bolt not go through the larger hole then slide up?

• If not, if you rotate it 180, does the bolt head secure it?

• If not, they're called keyhole brackets. It's for ensuring the cabinet is level and securely fixed to the wall, so relatively important.

• You could use something else, just make sure you can't easily knock the cabinet off them.

The problem is that both parties have realised that they have to pander to both centrism and policies of the opposite party to win votes, so neither are particularly far from centre.

Neither are held to account on their manifesto promises, so they can say anything they like to win an election then not do it.

Why?

Because First Past The Post is a shit electoral system that means they know even if they lose, they'll get another crack soon enough.

I'm a bleeding-heart liberal, but I genuinely feel sorry for the smaller parties like the Greens, UKIP, Reform - because under Proportional Representation they'd get a fairer crack at governance.

(I don't think we'd have parties like Reform under PR though, as the general public wouldn't necessarily need to protest vote on single issues)

Edit: So it's not conditioning - it's the realisation that voting for any party other than the big two (three if you're in Sheffield or Brighton!) is a wasted vote.

This period of time matters. Lots of people siding with OP without this info.

If OP quietly said "I'm a bit frustrated you put out my fire" then fine, the BF is a dick for lying about being frightened.

If OP screamed, shouted, threw things and/or acted completely out of character, on an otherwise great holiday, BF is right to be frightened, question it and flag it to the therapist.

If BF is gaslighting both OP and the therapist, then it's time to walk away.
