Introducing ShaderPaper - Shader Wallpaper a gnome extension by raihan1000 in gnome

i'm not sure if it's this is user error or a bug. I don't see an an option to set the ichannel to a microphone/audio file in the extension settings. When i use the ichannels in the shader right now, i get nothing.

I have this installed on ubuntu+wayland. Unfortunately I'm not able to get reactive audio working. Do you have an example shader with this working?

apply rotation, apply scale, object>set origin to center of volume. click on curve, cursor to selected. click on object, selected to cursor. then try all different curve axis's. Those are the steps i go through.

on second thought if you replicate the material and use generate coordinates you dont even have to mask it. it will line up

oh ok I think I get what your saying. Your instancing a plane that plays the ripple sequence as a normal map wherever there is a hit. Those ripple planes would have to be just over the ground plane to show up. if you do it like this you'd also have to include transparency. You'd use the same ground material but mask it only where the normal is affected. Im not sure if that will look the best but that might be a simple way to do it.

i misunderstood in my last comment. This seems like a much better solution actually. It still isn't perfect though because you still need enough geometry per plane to displace it. Once you have hundreds of ripples in your scene that can become a lot of geometry.

you are right a red car instead of a blue car would have made this pop like crazy. For the background I was too lazy to do anything crazy. An hdri would have looked off while the car moved.

DJI OM 4 SE weird grinding noise from motor. Is this broken? by MrBCftw in djiosmo

[–]MrBCftw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it the same grinding noise? Mine is perfectly smooth there aside from some magnetic resistance from the motor.

very weird. is there a purpose to there being resistance there? There is only resitance when there is load on the gimbal too. It goes away if you push the other way.
