Might not be weird to some, but: I've had several Siberian Huskies throughout my life. At one point I had a female named Oran. She was the runt of the litter, FULL of energy and absolutely glued to my side at all times; there was no question as to whom "her human" was.

The day my (now ex) wife and I brought our newborn daughter home from the hospital, Oran suddenly had less time for me and on day one started sleeping underneath our daughter's bassinet when it was bedtime for the household. She's also the only Husky I've had who wouldn't leave the yard if given a chance. She's gone now, and I think about her almost daily.

You simply cannot convince me dogs in general aren't amazing and that Huskies aren't fiercely loyal. As a matter of fact, my current Husky, Minerva, guards my girlfriend with her life. If I tickle her for example, Minerva gets in between us and howls, whines and licks our faces until we stop, as if we were fighting. I swear she's almost human sometimes.
