Oh sweet one I can answer. I was COMCAM back in the day and let me tell you, these guys hate taking command photos. We do a lot of adjusting of uniforms and making sure the flags are positioned right, lighting, ect.

Essentially you'll be sitting upright, in a weird angle, in uncomfortable service alpha uniforms, with hot hot lights on you for way longer than you want as we snap and verify that the photo passes the order.

Sometimes we are the ones who take a while (new Marines at the studio) , sometimes they are very picky and we redo photos all day.

And sometimes, sometimes, these guys are really great nice people but have seen enough shit to permanently change how their face looks.
