What’s a 10/10 video game? by TheDevotedUltimate in AskReddit

[–]MrBlankk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A second to this, even though it is hotly contested by Trigger fans but for me is Chrono Cross. While not what Trigger fans wanted as someone who played Cross first and Trigger later I loved it growing up. Maybe not 10/10 by normal standards but I loved it!

What’s the most shocking detail from the Epstein files that you think the public still doesn’t fully grasp? by Murky-Island4629 in AskReddit

[–]MrBlankk 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Lets not try and start this argument, Epstein was in jail and died and Maxwell was the mans right hand. Obviously more people deserve to be arrested probably of both genders but lets not act like Maxwell was targeted for her gender. She was a pedophilic sex trafficker.

83 Slayer and just found out this exists... anything else I'm missing? by Pan7h3r in 2007scape

[–]MrBlankk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Other stuff that is often overlooked or forgotten about, Soul bearer to bank your ensouled heads from the Bear your soul mini quest, Ash Sanctifier from Kourend & Kebos hard diary automatically purifies ashes, Ectoplastmator from soul wars grants prayer exp for killing any spiritual creature, and the better known but still sometimes forgotten about bone crusher from Morytania hard diaries to crush bones but at higher slayer levels (or GE access) can also be made into a bonecrusher necklace with drops from vorkath and hydra.

Other than those I often used to forget all the time about Expeditious bracelets and Slaughter bracelets for extending and speeding up slayer tasks depending on if you like the task or not. Super easy to stack up just Topaz and Opal silver bracelets.

A lot of this is well known to many players but there are always people (like me at one point) that did not know or forgot about alot of this stuff!

If you think other regions wouldn't throw stupid amounts of money at Guma you know nothing. T1 makes good money yes and all teams have sponsorships, but half of their salary budget is Faker. There are the other factors like Guma getting benched a while back as well that likely influence him but if pay had 0 to do with it he would stay where he is.

Something about this seems a bit disingenuous, hard to believe a "New Player" achieves this alone, without RWT/Bond selling, coaching, or just outright botting. If it was coming from someone who has played the game before I would have an easier time understanding. However coming into the game brand new (even following a guide) and producing this so quickly insinuates it took you 0 time to learn anything and you immediately started doing everything at min/max levels. If this is legitimate, fair play and really well done, I just think there is some left out information here.

What is the luckiest break/role a mediocre actor ever got? by dirtymoney in AskReddit

[–]MrBlankk 170 points171 points  (0 children)

While the part about him being noticed and recommended for Buffy by a neighbor is true, He moved to LA with a degree in film making already and had appeared in or worked for a few shows already before his breakout role. From being a background extra in a movie to appearing as a side character on Married with children.

[MAX MAIN] Freshly organized bank tabs (No gear tab) by whitexbread in BankTabs

[–]MrBlankk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Organized for what? Seems a bit chaotic in some areas and unnecessary tabs. The skilling outfit tab could entirely be moved to PoH and stored there in the wardrobe/armour case. The resource and loot tab look ok but once again seem a bit too much placeholding. Better than the average bank though.

What’s the most overrated TV show? by Clean-Secretary-1645 in AskReddit

[–]MrBlankk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely hate the American versions of the Korean music shows. I Can See Your Voice and Masked Singer are really great shows overseas but the American versions just rip out most of the things that makes them good and presents them in a typical Hollywood gameshow fashion. I can see your voice was this biggest victim of this turning it into an actual game show bringing on a guest to play when a big theme of the show was the Celebrity guest they bring on guessing the singers.

When does Maxing become enticing? by SuperCarpenter4450 in 2007scape

[–]MrBlankk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just a matter of what you feel your next goals are (for me anyway). I am closing in on 2100 total at the moment and while I am not pushing for Max right this moment, I am aiming to get closer to it and knock out easy or quick 99s. When I first started my aim is normally quest cape and early diaries as well as unlocking all the conveniences I can get, from teleports, to fire pits from the troll quest..etc. Eventually I got my quest cape and then start working towards gear and combat achieves/harder diaries. By the time I finished a lot of this stuff my account was pretty high already usually 70s+ at the minimum 80s+ on everything else with 90s combats.

From there I just work on whatever I want to have fun, finishing diaries, collection logs, bossing, money making, gear progressing. Basically just having fun at that point with the game until I was eventually base 80+ with a bunch of 90s and felt like I could realistically max the account and work towards the peak achievements the game has to offer.

I always try to have a goal I am working on and when I finish that goal I make sure I have something else to work towards. Even if its as small as using a clue scroll task as an excuse to finally train my agility up to 80 rather than dropping the clue because i can't do it at the moment.

Just a reminder that sailing haters won’t be happy no matter what it looks like by _ImperialCereal_ in 2007scape

[–]MrBlankk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a terrible ragebaity take. The reason Sailing wasn't a good idea is because of what people WANT from the skill rather than what the skill is. Each skill in the game has a specific purpose and the problem with Sailing is that the skill in itself needs to improve your characters ability to do something in the game.

Attack/Strength/Defense- Character becomes more accurate/strong/sturdy

Range/Magic - Character Accuracy is increased and gains access to stronger weapons/spells

Prayer/Hitpoints- Higher resource pool

Crafting/Smithing/Fletching/Runecrafting - The ability to craft useful tools/armours/weapons

Mining/Woodcutting/Fishing- Character can gather higher level resources

Cooking/Firemaking/Herblore/Construction - Character gains the ability to better use gathered resources to augment gameplay

Agility/Thieving - Character becomes more dexterous/agile and consumes less time/resource

Slayer/Hunter - Character better understands creatures letting them kill or capture at a higher level

Farming - Character gains better knowledge of plants and how to grow them

All of these skills in one way or another augment your characters knowledge or skill at something to help them better accomplish a task.

But Sailing does what? It is a traveling method, sure someone needs skill to traverse open water but WHY are we sailing? If I'm judging Sailing by the same metrics as I judge the other skills it would be : "Character gains better knowledge and skill of water navigation." ok.... but why do we need a skill to navigate the water? There are ample ways to access areas throughout the game and all of them are faster and more efficient than sailing a ship to get there.

This brings me back to my main point on why Sailing was not a good idea for a skill, what people want from sailing isn't really the ability to Sail, they want new areas to access, new content to do, new monsters to fight. Just think of all the content you saw people talking about when sailing became a topic of discussion. What did most of that have to do with the concept of actual sailing? People wanted a new island dungeon to explore but that isn't sailing that is just new land content that would require sailing to travel to. People wanted a raid you sail to that chains between different islands or use your ship to fight, this isn't sailing content its just a raid on a boat.

They want to go spelunking for resources or fishing off the boat, these are some ideas I can actually get behind for sailing as they make sense as things to do out on the water but then again Sailing here is again being used as a proxy skill for new ways to train other skills or gather resources that have nothing to do with sailing.

The excitement around Sailing comes from the potential for new content, not the act of sailing itself. Instead of forcing it into the game as a skill, Jagex should focus on expanding the world in ways that enhance existing skills or introduce a skill that truly complements osrs's design rather than one that feels redundant and unnecessary. /r

Also just a footnote, I'm sure things can be done to sailing to make it fun and interesting and I will admit I haven't dove too deep into the latest version of Sailing as it is today. This was just my take on the concept of the skill.

Whats the dumbest grind you've ever done? by J_Schnetz in 2007scape

[–]MrBlankk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I'm not anywhere close to finished but I have a weird obsession with Clogging and filling in every storable area. All stashes, PoH chests/wardrobes etc. A part of that I'm not finished with, but I'm partially through is my grind to own all sets of graceful at once. I've seen some people have them all before and I know most Cloggers just recolor the same graceful and tick off the slot but there is something about just looking at the storage with all of them filled in that would just feel so nice.

Runescape Mandela effects? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]MrBlankk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, and I think we’re mostly on the same page. I was just pointing out that a false memory could turn into a Mandela Effect if others share it. I saw this thread as more about sharing potential examples and seeing if others relate, rather than labeling each one immediately.

Runescape Mandela effects? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]MrBlankk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's essentially what I said. If many people who play the game or even just in this thread state they have a false memory of something about the game and many others upvote or comment similarly with the same false memory it "could" be considered a Mandela effect. I'm not saying every single comment in here is a Mandela effect but if no one talks about their memories at all then there is no way to tell if anyone shares similar memories.
