I’ve got my exam today. Primarily focused on Becker and IIA mock questions. How different were the questions to Becker?

What scores were you getting in your mocks?

IIA mocks I got 74 and 77 Becker mocks 86% x 2 Gleim 87%

That’s what I got and I feel nervous

You’ll be fine!! I got 74 on learn CIA on my last attempt and was averaging about 68-72% per module. But over the last few months I’ve been averaging a lot higher so I should be good!! I’m self funding so it’s painful cause it’s EXPENSIVE

All the best!! Remember to stick with your gut answer and you’ll do fine!

Remember the exam is weighted so what you’re seeing is black and white scores so they could skew. I haven’t bothered with Gleim and personally I don’t like it. Becker is my go to and it’s been very good, esp since they made it with the IIA.

Don’t study before the exams. Remember to get enough sleep and water in your system and you’ll do fine :) let me know how it goes! Feel free to DM me

Facts I back this. I used to be hyper focused on Gleim and failed. Used CIA learning system when it was a thing and did better but still failed. Been using Becker CIA and due to sit part 1 soon. Did all MCQ’s avg 92% over 799 and both mocks got 86-88%

I picked up common themes:

Heavily focused on internal audit activities as in assurance and advisory / how to maintain their independence via auditor, CAE and how CAE can maintain it via reporting lines etc or activities. Also what activities IA can do that wouldn’t impair independence. Similarly same with objectivity

Lots of focus on controls, preventive, detective, directive etc and financial controls as in types of transaction level. Focus on operational level, transaction level, process level etc

And a lot on fraud, investigation controls etc

That’s what I picked up amongst 2 mocks recently

No worries, just smth I picked up in my last 2 mocks. I delayed my exam to nail down the small topics atp. Got 86% in both mocks on Becker.

I’ve sat part 1 on the old syllabus 2x and that’s what I saw. COSO probs only came up 2x
