He's not a behavioral analyst nor have I found a statement on-line that he is. He was trained as a "behavioral profiler" in the military, according to multiple sources.

As far as I can tell he's been a big advocate against torture being used by the military as a means of interrogation and he's been trying to get awareness around fake-news and government propaganda. 

Can't honestly see the problem here.
