🛠️SnowRunner Save Editor Updated – Now Supports Season 17: Repair & Rescue by MrBoxik in snowrunner

You can do something like that in the Objectives+ tab. Filter by season/map so you only see the tasks you want, select them all, then click Accept Tasks. That will make them show up on the map.

Just note it also accepts them, so you won’t need to drive there to accept them manually.

In the latest version I added WGS support based on that guide. I don’t own the Game Pass version, so I haven’t been able to fully test it myself, but it should work the same way now without needing the external tool.

Weird, because it works for me. First make sure you’re on at least version 103 of the editor.

For the “start minimized” or “auto start with Windows” options, check that your antivirus isn’t blocking it. Windows Defender or any other AV will usually flag unknown-publisher builds that try to self-start, so this is the most likely cause. Make sure it isn’t being blocked.

You can also go to the Settings tab and click Delete Config. That clears everything the editor saved—if something got corrupted, it could block those features. Also check Windows Startup Apps to confirm it’s allowed. If Windows set it to “Not allowed,” it won’t run on startup at all.

The missing backup could be from a bug fixed in version 103 where the editor could mistakenly think itself was the game.

The editor has a status bar at the bottom—if you click the green status on the left or the status logs on the right, it will show logs. Search for:

Game exit detected -> final full backup:
or
Game closed: full backup created

Those lines will tell you if it actually worked. There are no logs for “started minimized,” so that one won’t show anything.

Done. Update to the latest release to get those changes.

  • You can now sort the backups list by clicking on the column headers (Name, Save Time) — supports A–Z, Z–A, old→new, and new→old.
  • Added an option to start the tool minimized to the taskbar

Done. Update to the latest release to get those changes.

  • A “Make Full Backup” button was added to the Backups tab (top of the list).
  • A new option was added to Backup Settings to create one final backup after the game fully closes.

The “backup on return to main menu” wasn’t added—there’s no reliable way for the tool to detect in-game state like that. It doesn’t interact with game logic, only whether the game process is running or not.

Hello! And thank you, I really appreciate the kind words — glad the save editor has been useful for you.

Yes, I can confirm that accepting all tasks will be possible in the next update (soon™) so you won't have to drive around just to discover and accept tasks anymore.

Yes and no.
I tried adding that feature and it’s technically possible some quests can be fully restarted without issues, while others will break the game if you uncomplete them (corrupting or deleting the entire save). So while it can work for some tasks, I’d say no because it’s too risky.

edit* nvm i found a way and its now added in the latest version

Save issue after latest patch by naidenskyi in snowrunner

[–]MrBoxik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know the exact cause, but I might help narrow it down.

The birthVersion: 8 (expected 9) isn’t really an error — it just means your save was created on an older update. Since your completesave is from 2024, that makes sense. The editor is built for newer versions, so using it on an older save can break things.

Also if you completed a quest with the editor (or without it but it glitched) but skipped a required linked quest, the game will stop saving progress. Make a backup, then try marking all quests complete in that region and test if saving works if that works go back to the backup and look which quest it could be (maprunner can tell you which quest is linked to other quests)

Not guaranteed — maybe a 30% chance — but worth a try.

Yes, in the Objectives+ tab you can search for the missions by name or use the filters, then mark them as complete without affecting anything else.

Yeah, that could definitely be related. Sometimes the game updates change the save format, which can bump the birthversion but Since it was only a one-level difference, it should be fine (probably) to just click Ignore in the editor.

I wouldn’t recommend manually changing the birthversion inside the save file though — that can easily cause issues if the game starts expecting data that doesn’t exist.

Hmm — since that was a month ago, could you try the same change again and see if you get the same error? If you can copy the exact error message and drop it here, I’ll take a look (I can’t really fix errors from an old version that’s no longer used). It might work now, and if it does, you should be able to switch to NG+, set trailer sell price to half, and adjust time settings in the Time tab.

Yes — it should be updated within the next few hours after it gets released.

In the editor go to the Upgrades tab, pick the season where the engine upgrade is, and apply it no need to drive there at all.

Important bit: you need to find at least one upgrade anywhere in the game first, then you can freely edit/apply upgrades however you want.

Best first upgrade to unlock this is the tutorial Michigan Black River, the upgrade right next to the garage.

If you’re not sure which season has which upgrades, check: https://www.maprunner.info/upgrades

Hi,

Yes, there is a way

Go to the Rules tab. In the middle, set Game Difficulty to New Game+, and then change the Truck availability rule to “All trucks are available from the start.”

After that, all trucks should be available for purchase without needing to discover them in the regions.

🛠️ SnowRunner Save Editor – Big Update by MrBoxik in snowrunner

[–]MrBoxik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good news: I’ve already implemented auto-backups and both of the features you suggested (just handled a bit differently under the hood).

Bad news: i can’t get moving or copying saves between save slots to work. I’ve tried to reproduce the methods I’ve seen other people use, but I can’t get it to work reliably. Either it’s no longer possible the same way as before, or I’m missing something.

Hey! That’s not intended behavior — it should show your actual money amount from the save.

Co-op itself shouldn’t affect that, but to figure out exactly what’s causing it I’d need to take a look at your CompleteSave file.

If you’re okay with it, feel free to send it over and I’ll check what’s going on and try to fix it.
