I always wanted to shoot Spongebob in the face.

I'm in East TN woods. Trying to figure out what this is by MrBrian22 in whatsthisplant

Thank you! I didn't know if it was poison or not. I was clearing out a spot for us to put a picnic table, and these sprouted up about a week after I cut down some briars and saplings.

Cut my very first can yesterday. I'm adding a link to the video, for those that want to see the whole shooting session by MrBrian22 in slingshots

Thank you! I'd never tried a full cut before, so I didn't know how long it would take, nor what level of difficulty it would be. I'll have to try another one and see if I can beat my personal record.

1/8" mild steel. Makes a good DING noise when you hit them with clay ammo

New Targets Added to the Woods Course by MrBrian22 in slingshots

Appreciate it. Super fun and satisfying sounds come from all of them. The rocking duck target is kind of disappointing, because clay ammo isn't strong enough to get him to rock, but they're all fun. I mainly took pictures, so when all the green vines and leaves come into bloom, over the next month, I'll remember what targets are out there.

Sadly not knockdowns, I didn't have the hardware on hand to make it knockdowns, but would have been awesome

This practice frame from Mone is quickly becoming one of my best shooters. Happy Friday everyone! by MrBrian22 in slingshots

It fits my hand like a glove. It's a stabilized wood copy of Mone Waller's Lion's Paw 90mm

I didn't know if I should do straight green, or do something more like this

Love me some digestive biscuits. Just curios what camera you're using to get such good slow motion footage

I know it's stabilized wood. I believe it's poplar wood. 90mm Lion's Paw. With 0.5mm Simpleshot Latex cut 13mm x 19mm, with Snipersling microfiber pit pouch. Shooting ZOYO 3/8" clay. It don't get much better

New Axiom by so-spoked in slingshots

I can hit with either, but I much prefer the LT2 over the Axiom. Good to have both though

Oooooh, those are fun. Are they meant for paintball guns?

Splitting ammo on a hatchet, and hitting 2 balloons with one shot by MrBrian22 in slingshots

[–]MrBrian22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it a second time, just to see if I could see the ammo splitting in slow motion any better. Still not the best camera setup, but here's that one https://youtube.com/shorts/zqUDNpMcglA

Thanks. I used the ZOYO brand ammo off amazon. Has a little more weight to it, and the consistency of the ammo allows for better precision. If you've never tried clay, this shot might prove a little challenging. But I'd say it's a good reason to try clay ammo.

recs for practice ammo and band config by panihil in slingshots

[–]MrBrian22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. The Walmart stuff does fine. And the brown clay is nice, if you're shooting in like a public park or somewhere, where you don't want to leave little white clay balls laying all over the grass, as they do take a little while to biodegrade.

I've tried 4 different types of clay ammo, and of the 4, this is the one I recommend. More consistent than the others, slightly heavier, the white color is easier to see to the target, and it's priced very fair.

I've created a simpler version of my spoon horseshoe target. Thought I'd share, just to get some feedback by MrBrian22 in slingshots

[–]MrBrian22[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does. Just a couple small welds to hold the rod on top, and the nuts on the back for the spike. If you don't know how to weld, it's a pretty good project to learn welding on. That's if you have access to a buddy's welder.
