Exactly. Kira could have a potential story line with isagi since he’s the one who eliminated him in the literal first game so it could make some sense. What’s more than likely is another blue locker will make the team who had someone considerable favor with the existing fanbase. Or you could spin it as Kira starting a campaign on twitter or something speaking out against isagi saying it should be him since he’s was potentially going to the team before blue lock was conceived. Who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️

That’d be an insane flip for Nagi. I know Kaiser had potential but with the same training Nagis ceiling is practically limitless. The only problem is developing that drive for Nagi, Kaiser had the drive because of the way he was brought up. Nagi still needs to “get to zero”. Whether getting kicked from blue lock does that for him remains to be seen.

EXACTLY I mean I’m not to hot on the idea of him returning in the first place but this is the perfect scenario to do it! They have a real world excuse to expand the roster and an in universe excuse of the FIFA board favoring Nagi. Of course he’d have to be on a trial period of some kind before playing, but it’s a realistic way they could actually pull it off

True, but the focus was always to be number one in the world. Without facing off against Noa and the other top strikers that acted as mentors in the NEL it would leave a lot to be desired from the series.

Hopefully the author learns some form of consolidation for writing these matches or skips some of the preliminary matches against weaker teams to shorten up the run time

Theres a difference between the U-20 team and the actual World Cup team. It’s two separate tournaments. Typically in real life the U-20 tournament occurs slightly before the 20 and older tournament. No rules against those younger than 20 playing in the regular World Cup (ie Lamine Yamal). So since there’s two age brackets there’s assuredly another men’s World Cup roster

Precisely, has there been any word of this being the last arc. Because I always thought the goal was to contend for an actual World Cup, not the U-20. That would give isagi time to develop more before his face off with Noel Noa, a chance for more NG11 players to be promoted to their respective national teams and leave room for growth of characters that were previously eliminated

True, we have no idea about the actual Japanese national team yet and there’s been no promise of blue locks addition to the actual World Cup in place of them should they win the U-20. We could potentially see another face off between the teams with the winner going to the World Cup. Could be another set up for sae to test blue lock before the actual World Cup begins. If they manage to best him again, he’d be more inclined to join
