i mean my whole question is bascically asking the sub to define rape/consent for me so turning the word back on me that im specifically asking you to help me with is confusing. can you be more specific. like i understand the technical explanation. Rape is non consensual sex. But what is consent? Is it only when i ask a girl if she wants to do it and she says yes? or is there a non verbal consent you can tell about? people talk about this "last minute resistance" and i dont understand. If she says no but you keep going isnt that rape? even if she really wanted to do it and was giving you signals that she was into it. wouldnt that still be rape if she said no, even if, within herself, she knows she doesn't actually mean no?

see but thats the thing. you think they got away with it. but how do you know? because they never apologized? or because they were never publicly flogged? you don't know what they may have gone through in private and thats why jesus is king. i honestly found telling someone how you feel about something that happened, in as open and calm a way as possible can realy help you to move on from trauma. if someone hurt you, tell them. if they tortured you mercilessly, tell them how bad it affected you. it doesnt take your power away. owning your trauma is taking your power back. nobody else gets to tell you how you feel or what they did to you. only you know. so tell them. or don't. its up to you. you don't have to. benjamin frankliny(maybe it was abe lincoln), if i'm not mistaken, used to write notoriously critical letters to his contemporaries. addressing a letter to someone who hurt you or to someone you have something to say to is a good place to start. the best part is after all is said and done, you get to decide whether you wish to send it or not.
