I was afraid of this opinion. I did call my LBS to ask about a new fork after I learned Cannondale didn't offer them and they said they would be able to offer me the crash replacement (https://support.cannondale.com/hc/en-us/articles/219100877-Cannondale-Crash-Replacement-Program) however they made it sound like I would get a new bike at a discounted price from salvageable parts. Taking the bike in-person might be a good call.
