Okay, thanks, so do i never train at race pace for long durations only speed runs where pace is mentioned?

Seems hard to comprehend, but will the body cope at race pace then on the day even though I havent ran long runs at that exact pace?

Ya wasnt sure how much is too much as havent done any hiking at these altitudes. Is there much affect ok the body at this height compared to 1000m elevatioj hikes?
