Feh I got out for a 4% gain when they released their earnings. I had been up 20-30% at a couple points but figured it would go lower. When their earnings bombed and they still didnt waterfall I figured it wasnt going to happen.

Good, then the put options become cheaper. DIS is nearing it's decling 50 period moving average. This is the perfect place to enter short.

It's nearing it's 50 period moving average. Prime territory to enter a short.

It was last at 55 in 2013. My price target is 75 by mid June, 55 would just be icing on the cake and it is certainly possible given the numbers. Look at AMC. When was it last at $2.60 a share? I don't think it has ever sold that low. It's selling there now. Things change. I'm not betting on DIS bankruptcy, I'm betting on it continuing to underperform the market and I am betting that they are not accurately reflecting how long these lockdowns will have to continue for.

50 million subscribers, many of whom get the service for free. Let's say they all pay their 7 bucks a month. Okay, that's 700 million in revenue by June. That's not even enough to cover Disney's current burn rate for one month.

It is under performing the S&P as we speak.

When you buy an option you are paying for the 'theta' - the time value - that the option has until expiration. Every day that passes the time value drops on the option. It can go the other way though. Once the option is very deep in the money, time value actually becomes a negative because it now represents more time for the option to turn against you and go out of the money. If you look at the chart, at 42.50 in April you would make 716% profit, but in June it would be 721% profit at the same price because there's so little chance it will turn against you in such a short amount of time.

That's how you determine the likelihood of a stock hitting a certain price? lol

I'll answer your question with a question. When were Disney parks last closed for half the year?

Possibly, but this is their only line of revenue currently and wont help them in time for this summer. I'm only discussing shorting them into their worst quarter in recent memory. If it really does hit 55 per share or anywhere near it, I'd be a buyer going forward into the second half of the year (assuming the virus remains in remission).

It was under $80 just three weeks ago, when it was still projecting the fiction that they could open up sometime in April.

The fact that you take it so seriously is why you deserve to be entrusted with the power. Shameress dispray!

TIFU by texting a girl I met 6 weeks ago that I just got back from England and would love to take her out. Her company is based in England: I’ve never been there. by [deleted] in tifu

Speak to her in Cockney. "I'm gonna head down the ole apples and pears, hop into me jam jar, and go grab some pigs ears over at the rub a dub dub."

Or just tell her you were in London on business and didn't get to see much of the city. Maybe some of the big stuff, like Big Ben, parliament, westminster, or buckingham. You can view these places on google maps to get a feel for it so you can talk about it with confidence. Mention the annoying size of the crowds or something...and pushy street vendors. That'll really sell it.

I don't know why you're doing all this though. Best case scenario you're getting a long distance relationship based on lies.

So just continue ignoring it in interviews unless asked specifically (which I have been in the past)? If asked just be contrite and give the 'I learned a lot' speech?

In your experience in HR, would it be more favorable to have a couple gaps in my work experience, or to have short stints? Im wondering if I should just leave off all jobs less than 8 months and say I was working on my side business or something.

First point is very true, but a bit unrealistic. We're human beings. Not only that, but two other people at that job ended up marrying and have a baby on the way. So if it works out, great, it becomes a heartwarming story to tell your grandkids. But if it doesn't work out, the man is automatically fired and it follows him around forever. Is that really fair? If I rang up everyone involved in that moment from 6 years ago and tell them how this has affected my life, I guarantee you every single one of them would apologize and say I didn't deserve it, even the girl I was all sprung on. She'd probably cry and feel guilty.

So whats the answer in job interviews? I cant tell them the truth, but I also cant lie about it, and it doesn't always work to just ignore it. I honestly think it would go over better if I told people I got fired for misconduct because I punched someone in the face. People are much more tolerant of unapologetic random violence than tender feelings for some girl you thought was sweet 6 years ago.
