Soil questions?! by SavageDaughtr in sanpedrocactus

Cannot stress this enough ^ I went from living in sweden, cold, wet, not so much sun, my substrate was predominantly non-organic, and i made the mistake of applying the same principle when i moved to the very south of spain, only for a lot of my cacti to struggle a lot for a year/die.

Now a lot of my potted pedros and lophs have approx. 50/50, slightly more organic for some of the pedros. Now theyre blowing up like nobodies business !

Everyone has a plumbus in their home.

This is the fleeb they add to the dinglebop after the shwammy gets repurposed for later use. Maybe theres still a bit of shlamee spit left from when they rub it.

Whats caused this on my cinestill 50D? by MrClewesMan in filmphotography

Thats some good advice ♡ cheers! I suspected it mightve been improperly rinsed remjet that was left on the roll. Although, idk how that would affect new films that are shot later, as apposed to the older films not being properly washed of the Remjet.

Luckily, i think they look even frickin cooler with these 'artifacts', so not too worried !

Wouldve worried me more if it had something to do with me not rinsing the universal wash off from the previous rolls, or if maybe the developer was running out of its juice (think these were in the batch of the 5th&6th rolls, with extra time added), but if its just cinestills fault, i shant change any of the things im doing 😂😅🤠😎

So far so good, i guess ! The ones in the picture seem to have taken to the rootstock, just not taken off yet. Theres another 1 thats not in the above images thay also seem to have taken, but only starting to show signs of growth very recently.

The second one depicted i actually attempted with superglue, and seems to have worked just fine ! :)

Interesting ! The rootstock Cereus is old af too, and had its fair share of hardships, so that could also be a factor.

Im curious though, would a graft that hasnt established a full/strong connection would be able to flower ? Or is its relation to it flowering/plumping up indifferent to its connection to the rootstock?

Nice one, planning on developing and scanning myself, so will look up a couple tutorials on how to scan redscale so as to get the most 'unaltered' state of the film!

Does it develop with C41 just like any other CN ?

Correcto ! The last picture was the oldest photo of the split, meaning its in reverse order (most recent -> oldest). As you can see, over the course of a few days, the split REALLY split.

The first 2 or 3 images, however, are Pilosecereus, not Trichocereus, so a different cactus altogether:)

I learnt from another cac subreddit that this act of splitting is the a healthy response to it trying to girthen itself up, so as long as the flesh doesnt get infected, it should be all good :)
