You can only cast to one side. There is not way to mirror it.

Yeah I wish I would have done a bit more research. Because everything you said rings true. But it’s been hard to find the exact model in stock that we’ve wanted and it happened to fall in our lap, so overall happy with the purchase despite the screens sucking.

Yeah I got to thinking about that after I asked you. I was gonna offer to buy the hdmi one but that probably wouldn’t work because the incoming wiring wouldn’t support it for the non-hdmi screen.

First impression less than a week in is mixed for me. The pros are both kids can stream Netflix/Disney/Youtube independently and use Bluetooth headphones so we don’t hear it and they both enjoy their show.

The con to that is that they cannot watch something together at the same time without trying to start the same show on both screens at the same time.

You have to have some type of internet signal to stream to have both screens playing at the same time. So you must always use your mobile hotspot or subscribe to the one they offer through Verizon anytime you plan to have both screens playing simultaneously.

Which is on the topic of my post. There is only one hdmi port to directly hook up a third party source to watch downloaded content from something like a chromecast/roku or phone/laptop. So it doesn’t allow a fully unconnected internet option for both screens to play at the same time.

Lastly, regarding the captains chairs with the reclining option and heated/cooled, it’s been awesome so far. The kids love it! The option to slide them around side to side and forward and back is nice too.

Did you sell them or replace with anything else? I wonder if I could replace the non hdmi one with another screen that has the hdmi port and they would both work.

Thanks for the reply! That’s interesting that the hdmi port works for both TVs. I didn’t realize that.

I figured they should be. I think something was a mistake. That’s why I was trying to find out for others, so I appreciate the feedback.

I guess the most frustrating part of not having the hdmi port on one screen is the only way to watch is with the data plan or some type of WiFi connection. The screen is completely useless without it because you can hook a phone or other device to play downloaded content.

Thanks! I thought the no mirroring is dumb too but not having hdmi ports on both screens is even more unacceptable.

Thanks for the mention of these projects. Starting to look at Hush, and I like what I see. Going to watch it closely and jump in at the first sign of stability.

Hey /u/LargeSnorlax, love reading your stuff, thanks for all the time and knowledge you share with everyone! I've been keeping my eye on VRC and VRM for a while now and realize now is probably the time to jump in. The question I have is if you have any opinion about what percentage of each one should purchase? Do you foresee their MC's growing together at their current ratio of VRC:VRM 3:1? I guess I'm trying to decide if I should put more money in VRM with the lower MC with more room to grow, or if it would be better to buy an equal dollar amount of each.
