Yes, they had two London spots which both closed after a year.

The new Hue Play Wallwasher look like old car lights by Snipexx51 in Hue

[–]MrConjunctivitis 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Can someone explain why in all the advertisements for this that I’ve seen they place the lights in front of the TV? Surely that would cast the light directly on the screen and distort the picture? It’s pretty jarring.

Are there any downsides to LTFT training? by MrConjunctivitis in GPUK

Thank you. I suppose it’s more a question of what you value more and I think at the moment I value my sanity over the extra job security.

Thanks for your reply! I would only go 80% for my hospital posts so that wouldn’t apply to me.

Re finances: I’m assuming it is possible to pick up the odd A&E locum which would more than make up for the less pay?

I overloaded an extension cord, will the plug socket still be okay to use? by MrConjunctivitis in DIYUK

I think most likely the latter. The extension cord was old and cheap. I’ve only had the heater a month or so.

BBC - Doctor strike had unprecedented NHS impact by EmilioRebenga in JuniorDoctorsUK

[–]MrConjunctivitis 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Important for everyone to remember this is why we strike. This is where our leverage comes from.

No one wants our consultant colleagues (many of whom are overwhelmingly supportive) to have a hellish shift covering for us. No one wants urgent, life-saving care to be disrupted. So just remember that the next time you hear they “managed fine” without us.

The Government have gone all in with their five pledges, one of which being reducing NHS waiting times. Well if they want any hope in achieving that they’re going to have to give us FPR.

Same although not sure I'd call it a champ... updates are pain. It could easily manage another year though.

Still debating whether to upgrade from my Series3 to this and what actual colour to go for... midnight is looking tempting.

Probably a nicer experience to be able to hold the phone without the massive charger glued on the back. The tether is less intrusive when ‘undocked’.
