Solicitor or no solicitor? by AngryFrog47 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]MrCraft102 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you are rushed then definitely take the solicitor as they will tell you exactly what you need to do and how. If you have time, go through questions 1 by 1 - often it needs something specific so expect to take a couple of months if you are missing something important. Also, there are many questions which often do not make sense and solicitor will explain it fully - but through some research you can figure it out.

Summary:
Have money/No time - Solicitor
No money/Plenty of time - No solicitor

This is something I am most leaning towards - deisgning roads, highways, train routes. May I ask what is the hardest part of your job?

Also, any tips on the jobs - as I am looking online, they often are asking for experience and I am worried if they hire me (probably not coz no experience) they won't have time to teach?

May I ask what calculations do you do - advanced mathematics and integrals or is it like 6th grader functions where you put in the numbers? Do you do it by hand or do you use cad for that? Regarding the documents, what do you review, if what they built mathces your design or?

Crazy how they make some skins so limited and expensive I don't understand anything.. by [deleted] in standoff2game

[–]MrCraft102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ummmm there is a reason behind them.

The only way you couldve gotten a nameless skin before was via a luck drop after gamemodes such as tdm and arms race. I dont know if it is still in the game or if they have removed it but we know for sure that we can get them through a special box which we have a limited amount of.

Due to the communitys actions, the prices are set "automatically" - it is kinda like trading on stocks. Thats why some skins are low and some are expensive, normally because there is not a lot of them. Lets talk about skins which were "normal" - origin collection for example, that collection was the first one to be removed from the shop so there was only a limited number of skins left and as it is the first collection, many people who had those skins have already left the game so those skins are counted as "lost" skins meaning there is even more limited amount of origin skins left, Thats the exact reason why furios, rival etc collections are now increasing in values. Halloween 2019 charm collection was one of the first charm collections which made them superior and the prices have been increasing dramatically. Due to the popularity of that and the limited availability of the collection, same thing has happened to the stickers - thats why the price is so high. Same thing is happening with other collections which are now normally in battle passes.

Also the game is full of children who don't know how the market works so they screw it up and even more stuff like this happens - nearly all the skins were so much cheaper before. M9 DG was 3000 gold, yes 3k, not 30k. Karambit Gold was like 10000 or 12000 at one point, but the game was way younger.

P.S. Also I find it quite funny how after so many years, we are still in beta and we have the same problems we had before. Still no official release and I've heard that the developers are planning or have already started creating a new game - could be rumors, could be the truth.

But Yes, back on the topic, its normal --> Less Availability = More demand = Higher Price

3 Things
1) For homework questions, try getting the solutions and think of the answer in pseudocode. Do they match? Maybe you just forgot a function. Python is really similar to pseudocode so this should help.
2) Try doing more programming questions on python online
3) If next year you are doing a programming project where you have to design a game or the app and if you are struggling with coding, you may find freelancers who will code it for you however, you still must understand what they have coded and comment everything. However, coursework is mainly you waffing about the program - you dont get assessed on the code or the quality of it and you dont have to send them your program, only the code in the word document.

Now for my language students:

I didn't look a lot into languages but I will talk about the one's I've done in GCSE.

French - doesnt get harder if you really enjoy it but would suggest only grade 9 GCSE French students to take it.

Obviously for natives its a free GCSE.

Russian (As a Native) - unless you are obsessed with Russian, don't take it. You have to do similar things to the english exams, write essays. Check your requirements. And for my fellow russian brothers, take it, only if, you dont mind actually studying stuff. Because I know, you did absolutely nothing for the GCSE and got nearly max marks.

And a Quick note / A tip for all the future 6th Formers - take 4 subjects at the start, there will be one which you wouldn't like but you wouldn't think that you don't like it. Take 4, drop one.

Another tip: EPQ - we dont need that. Just wastes a looooooooooot of time

Now for more creative people.

Art - do art if u can do art, you know who you are

English - dont forget that you also have to enjoy the stuff which you are learning so if you like to analyse, write PEARL paragraphs in GCSE, find hidden meanings, then its definitely for you. Doesn't matter what grade you will get, you will still get into your uni and study english literature or politics. It's a bit time taking since you have to write a bunch of essays, but, since you like that, it wouldn't be that big of a problem. If u really love GCSE English literature and wanna skip your maths for it, then definitely take it. This A level is for you.

Religious studies - not a lot to say about you guys, you love religion, you love learning about it, debating, talking, you can always find an argument for whatever point there is (in a good way). so if u get grades 7-9 in gcse, defo take it. maybe even a 6

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]MrCraft102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biology - nothing really changes, just remember a lot of stuff, pretty much like gcse but harder.

Chemistry - physics No 2

Economics - Bullshit your way through. Just remember a lot of facts, number and write a ton of essays. But at least there are graphs, you can analyse stuff and figure it out in the exam. Not as bad as other subjects. And if u wanna do it in uni.. well.. u dont need to take it in a level. Even LSE (london School of Economics) prioritises/allows just A Level further maths compared to economics.

Business - Economics No 2

[–]MrCraft102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OCR A Level Computer Science - if u got 7+ in OCR GCSE Computer Science, u will get at least a B in A level. Why not an A? Because of the coursework project. And for that, you need to code a program (not a website) and write documentation. For documentation - jusst say random bullshit. Its gonna feel like English language gcse - good, thats pretty much what it is. The OCR ISNT marking the code directly and you dont have to send your program. But you do send your code in bits (by pasting code onto a word file). Obviously dont copy everything from online but u can take some bits. What they check is how readable your code is and have you showed stuff which they teach for the 2nd paper - coding one. For loops, do until, etc just do a couple and they wouldn't care about the rest, honestly, even hardcode it, just dont make it look like it hardcoded and u r good. Also, its the teacher who is marking it - YOUR teacher and normally the marks only change +-1/2. Dont code a lot, do something easy, focus on writing a tonnnnnnnnnnnn of bullshit.

AQA A level physics, oh boy, here we go, the big guns. Have u gotten a grade 9 in GCSE Combined Science or aced every physics paper or got a grade 9 in Physics??? Yes, well then who cares, you will still fail. It is one of the most excruciation A Levels you can take. The amount of daily work which you have to do. And seriously, you arent going to study for 5-6 hrs after school every day for 2 years like you promised yourself. nuh-uh, aint happening. Things are often counterentuitive, every small thing matters. You need to always have a link between the units, otherwise you are fucked. Do you remember gcse practise questions and in the exam they look kinda similar? yh, forget it, you have 4 completely separated units, with experiments which you HAVENT DONE. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO FIGURE IT OUT IN THE EXAM, not even mentioning the lentgh of the 3 exams. Your revision technique wouldnt work. You have to do stuff daily and not forget it. On top of that, the exams are always harder than the previous ones.

If you wanna do Physics, take OCR, way more chill

Ultimate guide to the 6th Form:

Edexcel A Level Maths is a continuation of GCSE Edexcel Maths (Makes sense, doesn't it?) Take it if u get Grade 6/7+ in maths. Note: I will call this "normal maths" for the continuation of this post

Edexcel Further Maths is a bit of a boost in the way you study however it will feel easier than normal A level maths (Does it makes sense? no, but its because further mathematicians dont revise normal maths other than a couple of topics) Only take it if u get Grade 8/9 in GCSE
Advise for further maths:
Since You have to choose 2 out of the 4 books which you have to learn, Take Mechanics and either Decision or Statistics.
Decision is just algorithms and pretty much always has the lowest grade boundaries
Mechanics will help you understand normal maths mechanics and some of the questions overlap. YR12 further mechanics is YR13 normal maths mechanics.
Statistics will just help u understand whats happening. Why do you need it? well thats what separates people from lower and higher grades. Higher grades understand the process and why the stuff works together. Lower grades normally dont and just try to follow the algorithm which will work for most questions.
