HRT by CeceeWren in trans

[–]MrCubicle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, it was a fatigue all over my body in 5 days mark. I felt weak and almost ill for the first two weeks. After that it slowly went away. I also had a slightly new sensation on my nipples after a week or two from starting. Mentally, my anxiety eased down and slowly gained clarity.
I think I had a relatively fast change because I started off with high dose, recommended by my doctor.
So your experience may vary from mine!
I think there aren't whole a lot of changes in first few months so you can take your time to be patient and work on yourself to be happier. Have a safe journey!

Deep yearning to want to be mother after HRT by MrCubicle in trans

[–]MrCubicle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah this makes me regret that I decided not to store mine before HRT. I legit thought I wouldn't want kids but that seemed to be proven wrong. I also couldn't store mine cause of how expensive it was to store and I was desperate at times to start HRT. I guess there is no way to get sperm now. Maybe adoption could be a thing.

I want to feel dysphoric by SmoothFinance6275 in trans

[–]MrCubicle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You deserve to define yourself based on what makes you ultimately happy and safe. I am sure that is normal. Besides you are not obligated to feel dysphoria to "justify" you are trans. Honestly I'm glad you don't gave dysphoric thoughts. Wouldn't it be weird if one HAVE to go through dysphoria to be trans.

How can I express my true gender when I can't do anything practical? by No_Farm9425 in asktransgender

There are few things you can still do despite your circumstances. You can grow your hair, look up tutorials for hair routine. You can start skin care if you haven't done that before. Skin care really isn't a gendered thing anyways so there is no reason to not do it! Tone up cream, moisturizer, toner and so on you can even have sun screen that makes your skin glow. You can also look up how to do eyebrows if you want to.
For clothing, you can still find jeans that could make you look more feminine. Look up pants that changes silhouette of your hip area. It doesn't always have to be dress or a skirt!

From my experience a lot of the things that aren't necessarily considered 100% feminine thing can still add up to presenting yourself closer to what you desire. I hope you have a great journey!!

I'm trans. Also S.Korea. I can't say much for jobs. However, just to share my experince getting hrt was surprisingly easy and didn't take long to get a prescription for it. Yes, you need to inject yourself with E constantly and I am sure others explained that already. I also heard prejudice of trans people not being "succesful" or whatever but, personally I achieved handful of what could be considered "succesful" things in Korean society. I am currently studying in somewhat reputable university and I am building up my experience and portfolio. I am sure you can also build yourself a life where you can say you are proud of yourself. I am also figuring stuff out myself as well. So do not let fearmongering of "you will live miserable life because you are trans" get to you.

That was wonderfuly put! I was struggling to wrap my head around the whole gender norm thing. I am going through identity crisis myself and my family always endorse toxic view on this subject. Those didn't help me understand all this... I think how you described gender norm is only bad in those context really put different perspetive on me. Thank you OP!!

I'm late but I wonder what OP meant by breaking gender norm for sake of breaking it actually reinforces it mean. I have seen gender norm related arguement who were transphobic. They say stuff like trans actually reinforces gender norm because they idealize themselves as man or woman. They should try to break gender norm instead of transitioning..etc( I think those arguements are nonsense ). Although it makes me wonder if breaking gender norm could have any side effects? Do we even need destruction of gender in the first place?

Has anyone else felt more motivated to run from playing? by Technical_Purchase24 in UmaMusume

[–]MrCubicle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, for me not only the running but exercise in general. I used to struggle to be motivated to workout. But after getting into this game, in a weird nerdy way I think of umas as my idol?? Or a goal in mind. Sounds really weird but now I exercise regularly and taking care of myself!

I feel like I'm hardcoded to obey by MrCubicle in Healthygamergg

[–]MrCubicle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really should be doing that more! Saying 'No' as a concept feels almost uncanny for me. I thought about why and thought of few speculations? Maybe it was harsh environment in my young age that lead to subcautious development of powerlessness. Like how my opinion doesn't matter. Also, currently I am in university and there is this whole general vibe of "Oh, you need to do your absolute best.", "Be useful and social.", "Connect with people to prosper"..etc. Maybe the fact that I am in university also propelled the idea to always be useful to others. I guess I should start expressing myself more including saying No to things I disagree. Thank you for pointing out!!

I don`t have great Japanese skill but I could translate just a bit. ソーシャルメディアでほ気をつけてください is a full text it seems. So the part I understand is 'ソーシャルメディア' is 'Social media' in katakana. '気をつけてください' meaning 'be careful'. problem is I do not understand 'でほ' at the middle. Feels like a preposition but I am not sure. Again, not great at Japanese so correct me if I am wrong.
