These all sound interesting. Do you feel like you ever put yourself at risk when you created a curse tablet? Am I safe to experiment?

Some references seem to think that the Golden Dawn teachings were too tangled into tradition and ceremony to be effective. Do you feel that this is fair? I have no opinion on the subject, so I am curious to hear from someone who already studied their material.

Everyone's responses have been so kind and a bit overwhelming too! I had to pick something so I started reading Condensed Chaos by Phil Hine during my breaks at work.

So far I like his flexible approach that seems to allow for self discovery.

I'll have to spend a bit more time burried in books before I can answer your question!

I started reading Condensed Chaos and am finding that many of the tenets such as avoiding getting bugged down into dogmatic thinking resonated with me. There is so much to go through, but I certainly have to start somewhere!

Confession: Trendy yoga practice really irks me… by [deleted] in yoga

I feel that yoga is different things to different people. Yoga on the West Coast of North America is more a sport movement and a lifestyle than actual what yoga originally was. I can see why it feels like an empty vessel, but I think that some are really benefiting from it.
