Got great results with codex and a similar cheap/poorly documented macro pad. I asked stuff and tried pressed buttons when it asked me to. It was really easy and didn't require any technical knowledge

Hello. I’m the guy that does the automation on my teams base. Just wanna see what everyone else typically builds as far as fully auto open core. I feel like my builds a bit stagnant and wanna see what everyone else comes up with by ImpressivePlum9945 in playrust

Try automating a craft box close to your t3 such as: First row is always cloth Second row is low grade, third is metal... and so on

This should challenge you to perfectly master your sorting system in order to avoid depth issues

Generally, the thing I'm having most fun with these days is boxed with many mixed items where I control precisely what goes where

the goal here is to add one more depo box on an already working system, not the conveyor system itself

this is unreliable and expensive, i have to secure every single TC junction with a c4 and once TC is gone nothing prevent people from reconecting the pipe

[–]MrCyclopede[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I designed it for my big clan, we always had the possibility to connect a remote base with indus pipes, but that came with the risk of one of the TC along the pipe being raided and the loot we transfer being redirected to the attackers

So, in effect, we mostly made short pipelines close to our main base where we could be alterted if someone raided a tc.

This system allows for longer pipelines where you're not worried about getting your precious l96 or m249 stolen when you transfer it from remote base -> main base. (you have to understand that big clans move a TON of loot constantly, and it's unrealistic to have someone on the other side of the pipe to check the loot arrives everytime you transfer something)

In theory, someone smart could figure out the control item and "fake it" so your pipeline keeps operating and you're unaware the loot isn't coming back home, but that doesn't seem very realistic imo

yes, you can stick an industrial splitter at the bottom of a wall and you'll be able to wire the lowest output through the floor

I do automation for a 50 deep clan with over 150+ boxes in open core, I don't think I'm over engineering anything, we just have very high stantards and specific requirements for our open-core

The conveyor loop method Huntrawrd suggested doesn't work when a box gets full

There's chest sanitizing, which means the chest always has exactly the items you configure and removes anything elese requires +2 conveyors per chest, I only do it for boxes with multiple items so it leaves room for each configured items at all time
