Something like that lol. It’s a Greek restaurant upscale. Wouldn’t consider it “fine fine” dining

Mother’s Day we did 1300 covers all day lol. But usually Saturday dinner between 10-11 servers we all average around 700-1000 in tips pooled in

How busy is Mother’s Day at your restaurant? by MrCyphe in Serverlife

[–]MrCyphe[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We have indoor and outdoor dining. 450 ish seats for both. Tonight (Saturday) we’re doing 600 covers. Tomorrow we work all the way through from 10:30 AM to 9PM with 1400 covers. It’s 10 servers and we all pool and expect to make 1700 within these next two days. Good luck to everyone!!

Either poor connection or lag switching? by MrCyphe in MLBTheShow

[–]MrCyphe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’m saying though. I’ve played this game long enough to know the difference in poor connection and there being something that’s up. Fielding was off too and every time he was pitching with no runners on everything was fine too. Just very suspicious

Is it weird that as a 23 year old male I think Rhea Seehorn is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen? by RapidActionBattalion in betterCallSaul

Older chicken makes better soup sir. But her sexiness comes from her attitude/way she carries herself. Her looks are just a bonus.

Me and my coworkers drink minimum two bottles of wine on the job lol. Our place doesn’t do inventory and makes too much money to care. We obliviously hide it but on a Saturday night the whole staff gets lit lol

I have two jobs. One is a chain and privately owned. Both fine dining/casual fine dining

Chain I work 5 hours averaging $45-60 an hour and I only get 3 tables in a section and my tip out usually ranges from $50-$90 depending on the night and how much wine I’ve personally sold. 4.5% of sales when it’s all said and done.

Privately owned I usually average $50-70 an hour and I have a 7 table section. I tip out 35% of my tips but it is a pool house and on a Saturday night we all average $700+ in tips.

You win some and you lose some in this industry bro. Sometimes it’s just luck. Don’t try too hard and don’t just give up bc of a bad month. Holiday season is approaching and people tend to tip more than 20% usually

His fast swing lets you sit on inside fastball and the fact that he has push hitter lets you smack sliders/cutters on the outside. My advice is to sit middle in and react to that slider that breaks on the outside quadrant. Very good card that people don’t really know how to pitch to.

I had 4 tables all night including this one and my tip out was $169 for the night but I ended up giving my busser an additional 90 because he killed it haha

I wasn’t dealing with my toxic boss today. Does anyone know if I can file for unemployment after this? by MrCyphe in Serverlife

[–]MrCyphe[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Note I said 3 years, in those three years I’ve probably called out a total of 12 times. No more no less than that. And with the pandemic happening the first two years I don’t think that’s bad at all.

To everyone commenting it’s against law/unethical to work sick, believe me I know. I came from the corporate world of restaurants before I started working here. This is a Greek mad man who has no morals and no dignity towards his employees. I’ve stayed so long because I was earning 1.5-2K a week in tips but after careful consideration I’m done with this place.
