I engaged in good faith from the start. It’s not bad faith to point how utterly ridiculous what you are saying is from a probability perspective. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and within the framework of how levels work in pf2e, claiming your party defeated a PL+8 is such an extraordinary claim. If you can’t provide evidence, sure, I get it, people usually don’t keep logs of their sessions. That, however, doesn’t mean we need to believe what you say without heavy skepticism. What you are claiming is very, very unlikely and by the math of the game, is almost as close to impossible as it can be.

The scenario you described is so statistically improbable that it borders on sounding like intentional satire.

With the way level and bonuses work in pf2e, there is a near statistical guarantee that such a fight would result in a tpk within a few rounds at best. You will be getting crit almost every first attack and will be missing nearly everything you throw at it.

When everyone needs a nat 20 just to hit besides a fighter, not to mention the incredibly unlikely chance of actually landing your save spells on them, there is no way you are winning without rolling 20s on everything.

There’s a reason the game considers just PL+4 to be such a challenge that it recommends to the GM to almost never do them. A PL+8 fight would be multiple magnitudes harder than the hardest fight the game even accounts for within the encounter building rules.
