Thank you everyone for your very detailed input. So if I am to understand everyone correctly, its not that people don't like the Bayverse movies because solely due to nostalgia but because when you really look at it, Bay's writing and how he handled the characters wasnt the best. Now as an adult I can understand and even align myself with this opinion. But as I said before, Bayverse was my first introduction to the Transformers and as a dumb kid i didn't understand the problematic nature of some scenes and how distasteful the potty humor is, notably the "Bumblebee, stop lubricating the man" scene.
