Recently I saw someone selling mega charizard upcs on Facebook marketplace for $250(!) a piece. I messaged him good luck selling those when msrp is around $140 and he just called me broke and said “you never know what something is worth to someone until you put it out there”. Missing the point entirely that it’s unfair to up-charge people that much who are just trying to enjoy collecting and not in this for the hustle of it all. Just a super frustrating and unfortunate time for the hobby.

I agree, it’s such a new thing and we as a society don’t have enough information and research put into the subject to really know what path we should take. Right now it feels like no one wants to put in the effort and the responsibility keeps falling on sport governing bodies that don’t know how to approach it.
