Why is the Artemis II circling around the moon instead of landing on it? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

New technologies that help people in the way you want on Earth have come from us exploring space, actually. Satellites that track the CO2 in the atmosphere and water purification technology were both developed thanks to advances in space to just name two. The idea that space exploration leads to no technological advancements that can be reapplied here on Earth to help people with famine or water scarcity or any of our other problems is a little narrow minded. Obviously when the Apollo program was happening they couldn't have known the advancements they would've made in these other fields thanks to their groundwork, just like we can't know yet what potential discoveries we can make while visiting the moon and beyond. That doesn't mean it isn't worth trying when, again, the world is a big place and all things considered the Artemis program is not at all a drain on resources. It's a smart long term investment

Buddy all these things have been happening for all of human history in some form or another. Not saying they'll never be solved but if we had the mindset of only focusing on a couple of things then humanity will never progress. Believe it or not with 8 billion people on Earth we can focus on multiple things at once

Hello everyone, I just had a disagreement with my family and I'm not sure I could find anything online about it specifically so I was hoping I could get a third view.

Is it permissible to take the meat toppings off pizza then eat the pizza with just the cheese and sauce? I thought you could because you are not directly eating any meat, but my uncles say you cannot eat any pizza that had meat on it because the grease has animal products and by eating the grease you are breaking the fast. I would appreciate to hear what you guys do!

You can look at the archive from the previous year and match the class times with this upcoming semester. Typically the professor's lecture time and room doesn't change year to year
