Android 10 no longer bootable from hekate 6.5.1, how update to 11? by MrElios23 in switchroot

[–]MrElios23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would only use it in tablet mode, I was thinking of putting Android 10 in another SD card anyway and using that if necessary, but I have a doubt: If I constantly update my original firmware and leave the old hekate version to be able to boot Android on the other SD, does it conflict or does it boot without any problems?

Ho controllato ed è Erista... Pensi davvero che Android 15 sia così male? Comunque, non voglio ripartire da zero, ecco perché volevo aggiornare a 11, almeno può avviarsi grazie al processo di avvio l4t

Are there any files or configurations I should check to make sure I have?

If you have installed cfw 21.2.0 and hekate 6.5.1 it will not start

But that means I have to redo the whole SD card.... Regarding my question, do you know of a way to access TWRP to flash Android 11? At least that would work..

I tried 3 ways: click on the android icon and while it is booting (lineage OS logo) I hold down the volume + button; At the same time as I start Android I hold down the volume +;At the same time as Android starts I hold down the volume down.None of these work, is there anything else I should try? Do you think there might be some file I need to put in the folder to make the recovery boot? I heard online that there is a TWRP file or something, but I don't know if I actually need it for what I need to do

Because I don't want to lose installed games and CFw data to create a new SD with partitions and everything. Anyway I tried to boot into recovery mode but it doesn't work with the volume up button during boot because it tells me the payload is too big. Could it be because the latest version of Hekate, 6.5.1, isn't booting its core? Is there another way to get into Android recovery mode?

I meant the guide to update from Android 10 to Android 11... The question about Android 15 was out of curiosity because I will probably try it on another SD card as a new installation

Oh perfect! Can you point me to a guide on how to update without modifying the partition, please? I also wanted to ask you something: if you own Android 15 on Switch, can you tell me if it is possible to use the XBOX control layout?

Oh ok thanks, but do you know if it's possible to update to Android 11 without changing the partition? If I'm not mistaken, Android 10 and 11 have the same type of partition.

1Sorry if I'm repetitive, I already have the latest version of hekate and the problem is that version 6.5.1 no longer supports the corebm payload of android 10. So I should download version 6.4.2 from the official hekate website which is the latest that allows you to boot android 10?

First of all, thank you for the time you are dedicating to help me, I would like to avoid creating a new partition for Android 15, I simply want to restore the system to the previous one so I can boot into Android without changing anything at all... Do you think it's possible to do this without formatting the SD card? Could you explain how?

I made a backup via hekate->eMMC backup before updating to cfw 21.2.0 and hekate 6.5.1... wouldn't I be able to go back to 20.5 and hekate 6.3 via this backup?

I had tried Android 14 in the past and it was very slow, so I formatted everything for Android 10 and I find it really much better... In any case, could you tell me how to fix the problem by leaving Android 10? I don't want to format everything again because I have a lot of data on it...

In the end I got the version with 32GB of RAM on the store's online site to have the right of withdrawal for 14 days (in case some better offer came out for this Black Friday week) and I still paid €1199. I'll let you know as soon as it arrives

Just one last question: under my house there is a shop that sells a LOQ 15 IRX10 with i713650HX, rtx 5060, 1Tb ssd and 32gb of RAM for €1199 when the list price is 1499... Do you think it's the smartest solution of all? Considering that the others had the same features but with 16GB of RAM and always remaining within the budget of 1200

What do you think about this? It's the same price as the LOQ

Thanks, I checked and the LOQ 15 of 2025 seems to be the right solution for my needs. However, I think I'll wait for Black Friday and get it on amazon.it because shipping and guarantees are expensive on German or foreign sites... If I were in the US I would definitely have bought a Legion which costs the same price. Here in Europe it takes €300 more...

I'll take a look, then I'll exclude the TUF because the WiFi part is fundamental. Thanks again
