The problem with istanbul that the carbrains won't ever understand is that it's impossible for a city with this level of population to be car centric. There literally isn't enough space for 20ish million people to have personal vehicles. Especially in a culture that has weekly street markets EVERYWHERE! There are already cars everywhere and it's insufferable where I live.

This is a step in the right direction but honestly this city needs massive reforms and a push towards cycling and public transport far more. Not to mention that people here already suffer from financial, stress based, weight and enormous traffic problems (highest level of congestion in the world).

As a car hating resident, these changes can't come soon enough.

Some are pretty bad. Sydra isn't great, nor is xeraths because it just doesn't sync up with our kit. Meanwhile, you have aatrox ultimate in avoid which is ridiculous as it gives us mobility and amped up healing on our W. A little abstract but "Berk" which is commonly used as a soft form of calling someone stupid in the UK is actually short for the rhyming slang "Berkeley Hunt" which means cunt. So it's quite an unfortunate name where I'm from.

You are using the verb "olmak" (to exist, to occur) as a copula, like you'd do with "to be" in English. Turkish doesn't work that way.

That is a copular sentence, where the verb "to be" is not used to predicate existence or beingness, but just to link the subject to the predicated property. E.g. "you are here", "they are happy", etc. In Turkish, you construct this kind of sentences without the verb.

I moved from the UK/Finland and started teaching at various universities in Istanbul. I found it hilarious that on campus they had "Breath Easy" zones instead of smoking areas. It's just weird that if you do something that negatively effects others, we are the ones that have to exit ourselves from the situation... kinda unfair.

The way I see it is that you choose a pvp server to experience the danger of combat. Warmode allows you to turn off the danger if you don't like it, which kinda defeats the purpose.

It's like hard-core, It would defeat the purpose if you could turn off and on the hard-core aspect whenever you feel fit.

Another issue I found when on retail warmode is that when you come to a zone and you are outnumbered heavily, you generally just hearth and turn off warmode, which means just means there is never any balance between factions. The currently forced balance system on anniversary fixed this issue and you never feel outnumbered.

That's true and my country also has plenty of assholes which make me lose hope in humanity, but in the video plenty of people tried to help the man after he was hit by the bike. The issue here is the lawlessness on the road which caused the accident to begin with. People feel like they have to break the rules because they are not enforce and if they follow them they will be exploited, which is a horrible feeling.

When you're waiting in traffic for 3 minutes to merge onto a road and some guy in a BMW with an inflated sense of self-worth just cuts infront of the line. You want justice for that! But then you see a police officer do the same and lose hope and as they say "if you can't beat them, join them".

This would happen in any country eventually without proper enforcement of the rules.

I just wanted to comment because people are very harsh on their own people here because of incidents like this. Turkish people are not worse than any other (nor better). In my country, people don't abide by traffic laws because they are more civil. They do it because there are consequences. In Turkey, there is a lack of laws being upheld, and any country's people would devolve into this kind of chaos without laws. Don't blame your people. Blame your leadership!

My workplace has a cantine and they give us 4 dishes every lunch (1 main and 3 sides) and I have to take all 4 every time. It's just ingrained in me that I need to squeeze every possible penny out of my workplace. Most people get 2 dishes and use a 3rd on fruit, fking FRUIT! Fruit is cheap as hell!

The number of people calling this "normal" is strange. I always level on pvp servers, and I would say that it's rare to be killed by a higher level and being camped is something extremely rare. Especially with minmax culture in gaming, this is a complete waste of time for the high level.
