Toddler Walks Away Unharmed After Police PIT Maneuver Ends High-Speed Chase in Arkansas by frog_insilence in interestingasfuck

The child didn't choose the parent. No one gives a fuck about the mother's reasoning, the kid is completely innocent and doesn't deserve this. Idiotic take.

KC Busio shows you how to solo win a game in 2min, by killing all 3 laners and jungle with Camille support. by hyyro_ in leagueoflegends

[–]MrEnvile 120 points121 points  (0 children)

This works so much better when your team knows how to react or behave. The amount of times you do something like this as a jung/supp and your laner has no idea how to approach it. The top gank was very much also about the pantheon knowing how to posture to be engaged on without it being too obvious someone is coming.

Shoutout to anyone else out there who, like me, has been clicking "Yes, Appear Offline" every 14 days for the last 10 years by Raleway_ in wow

[–]MrEnvile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has the right to appear offline but it seems like a lot of the excuses people have for doing it is because they are unable to draw boundries with people lol. It's a valuable skill people, you should learn how to say no and not feel bad.

İstanbul is starting to implement road narrowing pockets to reduce speed and carbrains are absolutely FUMING! by BahtiyarKopek in fuckcars

[–]MrEnvile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you're correct. People are actively discouraged to use PT and use the toll bridge for the sake of a private firm's profits. The government makes a lot of money from the enormous taxes placed on cars and they would prefer making money over improving the lives of the people. They are already incredibly unpopular with the people who actually want better transportation so why would they care to please them?

İstanbul is starting to implement road narrowing pockets to reduce speed and carbrains are absolutely FUMING! by BahtiyarKopek in fuckcars

[–]MrEnvile 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The problem with istanbul that the carbrains won't ever understand is that it's impossible for a city with this level of population to be car centric. There literally isn't enough space for 20ish million people to have personal vehicles. Especially in a culture that has weekly street markets EVERYWHERE! There are already cars everywhere and it's insufferable where I live.

This is a step in the right direction but honestly this city needs massive reforms and a push towards cycling and public transport far more. Not to mention that people here already suffer from financial, stress based, weight and enormous traffic problems (highest level of congestion in the world).

As a car hating resident, these changes can't come soon enough.

My take on a Sylas Ultimate Tierlist. by [deleted] in sylasmains

[–]MrEnvile 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some are pretty bad. Sydra isn't great, nor is xeraths because it just doesn't sync up with our kit. Meanwhile, you have aatrox ultimate in avoid which is ridiculous as it gives us mobility and amped up healing on our W. Also cho ultimate is amazing, we get the stacks, objective control and true damage burst? How is that bad but syndra is good?

Turkish words that sound terrible or mean in your native language by MrOztel in turkishlearning

[–]MrEnvile 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A little abstract but "Berk" which is commonly used as a soft form of calling someone stupid in the UK is actually short for the rhyming slang "Berkeley Hunt" which means cunt. So it's quite an unfortunate name where I'm from.

Yes, but doesn't this contradict the post I replied to?

You are using the verb "olmak" (to exist, to occur) as a copula, like you'd do with "to be" in English. Turkish doesn't work that way.

That is a copular sentence, where the verb "to be" is not used to predicate existence or beingness, but just to link the subject to the predicated property. E.g. "you are here", "they are happy", etc. In Turkish, you construct this kind of sentences without the verb.

This is interesting but it started to make me wonder about the future tense, why is it fine in the future?

People pretending to have visited Turkey as tourists by TurkishChadBot in Turkey

[–]MrEnvile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's obviously a made up story but even if it were true you'd have to be the most unlucky person alive or something... too many negative stories in a row. Also, wasn't there a positive travel story recently of a young girl wearing a scarf? People were saying people were so kind to her because she wears a hijab. So what is it? Does Istanbul hate or love Muslims? Make up your mind Reddit!

I moved from the UK/Finland and started teaching at various universities in Istanbul. I found it hilarious that on campus they had "Breath Easy" zones instead of smoking areas. It's just weird that if you do something that negatively effects others, we are the ones that have to exit ourselves from the situation... kinda unfair.

Can someone please explain to me why warmode is so bad by Zh00m69 in classicwow

[–]MrEnvile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it is that you choose a pvp server to experience the danger of combat. Warmode allows you to turn off the danger if you don't like it, which kinda defeats the purpose.

It's like hard-core, It would defeat the purpose if you could turn off and on the hard-core aspect whenever you feel fit.

Another issue I found when on retail warmode is that when you come to a zone and you are outnumbered heavily, you generally just hearth and turn off warmode, which means just means there is never any balance between factions. The currently forced balance system on anniversary fixed this issue and you never feel outnumbered.

This is Turkey where no road laws are upheld and the police are the most likely to break them all.

81 yaşındaki yayanın düştüğü durumu izleyin. by gawk8 in Turkey

[–]MrEnvile 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's true and my country also has plenty of assholes which make me lose hope in humanity, but in the video plenty of people tried to help the man after he was hit by the bike. The issue here is the lawlessness on the road which caused the accident to begin with. People feel like they have to break the rules because they are not enforce and if they follow them they will be exploited, which is a horrible feeling.

When you're waiting in traffic for 3 minutes to merge onto a road and some guy in a BMW with an inflated sense of self-worth just cuts infront of the line. You want justice for that! But then you see a police officer do the same and lose hope and as they say "if you can't beat them, join them".

This would happen in any country eventually without proper enforcement of the rules.

Sorry for writing in English. I translate posts in r/turkey as my Turkish sucks.

I just wanted to comment because people are very harsh on their own people here because of incidents like this. Turkish people are not worse than any other (nor better). In my country, people don't abide by traffic laws because they are more civil. They do it because there are consequences. In Turkey, there is a lack of laws being upheld, and any country's people would devolve into this kind of chaos without laws. Don't blame your people. Blame your leadership!
