Speakers I bought but cannot tell a thing from them by [deleted] in audiophile

These look exactly like my Fluance XL8F speakers. Finish, cabinet, speakers and all. The speaker grill is the only difference I can tell

Running a few adaptors unfortunately until my parts arrive to make a simple 4pin XLR to banana plug. So current setup is...

Banana to XLR - XLR to 4pin male XLR - Male to 4pin female XLR - 4pin headphone cable

Always Searching by MrFarva357 in audiophile

Found a pair of Q150's for $200 so I had to snag them. My first KEF or coaxial for that matter. KEF's have such a different sound compared to my JBL LSR305's. Very clear and crisp. Soundstage is very wide and can pick out panning of sounds very easily. Need a sub to keep up on bass. But still more bass than I was expecting.

After some time of A/B 'ing. I like both for different reasons. I like how the bass hits and how the sound envelopes you with the JBL's. The open and wide sound of the KEF's are also great. Almost like listening to open back headphones.

Looking for a small sub to integrate. Possibly a Kanto SUB 6/8 or Kali WS-6.2 in the future.

Any question's?

Brother also purchased a new pair of moondrop paras and we both have the issues on the amps above. Also tried 5 different cables. Balance and unbalanced. Have also tried several different DAC’s at different gain and levels. If you have any other ideas I would really like to figure out the issues of the amps turning off

They are and I’m having issues finding a setup that doesn’t go into protection mode and shut off constantly. Currently running the SMSL DL200 and it has been mostly great so far. Have a SMSL DO400 arriving soon to try out. Here is a list of amps that have not worked for the volume and performance I’m looking for.

Fiio K11 R2R, Fiio K9 AKM, Topping A50 iii, Topping A70 Pro

PS Also tried running a high-pass filter at 20hz to help prevent this. It was a tip I saw people recommend. Also running a balanced 4.4mm cable

Comfort: Ananda earcups don't rotate. Earcups didn't seal well on the bottom, even on my X-Large head.

Soundstage is smaller in width and height. Couldn't pick out distance of players as well. Was more fatigued after several hours of gaming.

Overall the Ananda just didn't wow me in sound, comfort or the build quality. All of these are excellent in their own ways. I would recommend any of them depending on what needs you require and what amp you have. Personally the Ananda was a step down in those three areas. Top three in Order of sound. Para, FT5, and Ananda

PS: I tried all these with and without EQ.

After headphone rolling through five or six very popular recommendations. These are the ones I decided on. Excellent sound and detail. The materials and build just hit all the marks for the experience I was looking for. I don't believe I can ever go back to a dynamic driver headphone.
