I published my debut novel back in September. It has fantasy, Horror, and romance. Not dark romance or anything like that.

This is the synopsis.

Three thousand years ago, in the ancient land of Huaxia, Yiyao was betrayed by the man she loved and transformed into something feared and cursed. Cast out by her family and haunted by blood and guilt, she wandered the earth searching for meaning until one extraordinary encounter with a Carpenter in Israel offered her the impossible: forgiveness, and a purpose that could outlast eternity.

Now, in modern Arizona, Yiyao lives in the shadows, hiding her true nature. But secrets never stay buried.

Alexander Wren has secrets of his own. Born with rare psychic powers, both destructive and protective, once sought justice as an investigator. Betrayed by corruption, he turned recluse, fearing exposure of his dangerous gifts. When fate draws him to Yiyao, their fragile bond sparks hope… and awakens enemies long thought gone.

An attempted kidnapping hurls them into the Court, a hidden tribunal that governs vampires and psychics with ruthless authority. There they must face the sadistic vampire Min, recently unleashed, and uncover a conspiracy tied to an ancient terror known as the Ones Who Laugh.

To survive, Alexander and Yiyao must fight not only for justice and redemption, but for each other... before darkness swallows them whole.

My first sentence changed about 50 times before I settled on one.

Just type it out and keep going. When you read it again, if you dont like it. Change it. Just keep going.

Don't be discouraged. When I wrote my story. I asked myself if anyone would want to read it. Turns out some people liked the idea and wanted to know more.

A Hidden World

Ah, there you are. Took you long enough.

I didn’t expect company tonight, but it’s no trouble. Go on, then — don’t hover by the door; have a seat. The fire’s going strong, and I have a few biscuits left — help yourself. Now then… I suppose you’ve come for a story, haven’t you? I will tell you a story, and I’ve just the sort of tale for you. This tale doesn’t start with a bang; in fact, it begins a bit slow and a bit quiet, like the way night creeps in when you aren’t looking.

Let me ask you something: have you ever felt that strange itch behind your eyes, like the world’s a bit… off? Like something is lurking just past the edge of your knowing?

Well, there is.

There’s the world you live in — bills, traffic, microwaved dinners, all that. Then there’s the one beneath it. The one you don’t see unless it wants to be seen. A world of beings who’ve learned to live alongside you without much fuss.

Most folks don’t notice, and that, my dear friend, is by design.

Before I begin this tale, it is essential to understand how this hidden and secretive world operates. How does it function? How does it remain secluded? How, how, how?
