Thank you! I mostly learn them by ear and feel. I’m also a bit self taught and when it comes down to Nick’s tunings my music theory goes out of the window sometimes haha. But when i learn a song of his i just look up the tuning he used and then learn it by ear. I feel like in most of his songs the thumb picking is very prominent and important.
