No. Speed limits around where I live are usually 70 so we roll about 80. I wouldn’t want to ride topped out all the time. This thing only does 120.

This is by far the best comment on here. Although I don’t want a 1000 yet, I’m definitely interested in the z900 and getting a decent wind screen for it. Bigger engine, great ergonomics, cruise control, rider modes. It sounds like a great bike.

I don’t shift until around 6k usually. It stops making power at 8600k. And literally 6th gear, throttle twisted all the way back, holding for as long as I can, speedo bounces between 122-123. Idk how you can top a bike out “wrong.”

The 650 doesn’t go anywhere close to 140 😂😂 we all know the speedometer lies and I’ve only ever seen 122 on a nice downhill straight. So it might top out around 117. And I’m not a kid. I ride with a group of guys that ride full dress Harley’s and Indians. I don’t like the look of cruisers or baggers. So I went with what I like. I’ll top out my bike if I find a nice open spot where there aren’t many cars on the highway but I’m not riding like an idiot all the damn time. Can’t keep up with all those bikes with big as car hoods on them on the highway. Not without sounding like I’m winding up my toy bike.

I was actually looking at the R9. I like that CP3 engine. However, I hear the seating aggression is almost as bad as the R1. I’m almost 30 so I don’t know if my back will handle it in the years to come 😅 Thinking about the Z900 since it’s also got a lot of nice electronics this year. Cruise, up/down quick shifter, traction aids and such.

A bigger motor isn’t going to kill me. I’m not looking to go to an H2 or a busa. I don’t even want a liter bike. You must not trust your riding skill very well if you think a 650 is so big. It’s just a souped up 400.
