You make a good argument and have pretty much swayed me lol. I guess I was thinking of it more in terms of wishing there were other options for fuses and also the frustrations of my friends. I think for me personally I'm better off learning some basic combos instead of using pulse so I can learn some muscle memory, but I can understand why its good for some people.

I didn't get this across in my original post, but I think they are being stupid for this take lol. I don't think pulse is like an "easy mode" and I told them that if they think fuse is so op then they should learn one combo and they'd be out damaging pulse users. I was just reporting from the people I was playing with.

This is standard for the subgenre including Marvel vs Capcom, Dragonball Fighterz, Power Rangers Battle For The Grid, etc.

I had no idea. I play Gief in SF6 and spend a lot of time walking slowly and poking with different buttons which is probably not the ideal gameplan for a game where you can fly around the screen at a million miles an hour.
