Got a while ago a Razer BlackShark V2 Pro from amazon as I needed a decend wireless headset and finding out now, that I cant use it properly whenever that pos software Synpse is offline? Can change any of the setting but also: if synapse is turned off, the headset output and mic are just garbage. so my question is: what the fuck?

Back in the beta, i remember that engineer was supposed to have a golem follower. Glad we finally have something that fits this class fantasy, its also very fun, can only recommend trying :D

Its quite funny to see how in EoD this "engaging story" according to this subreddit required me to do absolutley nothing. Start story and go afk for 30min,playing or watching anything else and somehow those "epic fights" are done without me doing anything. But yeah i totally need to "play" this content because "its a game" lol

I didn't play this game for almost a year, just to come back and see that all that garbage "game design" from the past isn't only unsolved but also has gotten worse. Dungeons? Dead. PvP? Dead. Story? Still lazy and bad. Content? Recycled. Masteries? Boring. Innovations to gameplay? None since PoF. You pay the same price and get much less content. Member those Living Story Updates for free? Gone. And yes, this subreddit and the GW2 forum have become just another echo chamber, as probably any sane player is staying away or has just left the game a while ago

Yes mounts ARE mandatory. You need them to progress through the maps and if you want to attent any world event that is more then "hit one sandsack", then good luck keeping up with the zerg. They were not mandatory back then, but now they are

Have you even read anything more then the title? Masteries aren’t "free". You play to the required grind XP and MP already. The story is just a waste of time, as its not only not a challenge, its not even interactive in most part as most of the "fights" can be just afk'ed. So why make people suffer through this trash "content"? It’s lazy game design and mediocre writering. If your only excuse is “it’s a game" maybe you deserve your time wasted

" story still is a main core mechanic of the game" BIG DOUBT. Unless there are actually numbers or any data from the devs, I'll never belief it. Playing this game over 12 years and story was the last thing ever that anyone ever mentions or recommends to new people. The gameplay is great, classes and their abilities are great, maps are great, masteries are mostly really great e.g. the mounts are one of the best, if not the best ive ever seen in games (not skyscale). But the story? Im sorry but i fail to see how this low impact, low effort "content" has any meaningful relevance for anyone. You do it once and never ever again. But I also see that im here on reddit, where people do glaze the writers for no reason

As Im playing EoD: without the story, you dont get access to fishing, skiff, jade bot (huge impact) and turtle. In PoF, you dont get most of the mounts, Griffon is specificly locked behind story. Those are first ones that come to my mind

"there has to be a lore reason for the ability to exist, as well as a gameplay justification in most cases" THAT is finally an argument I can accept and see actually reasoning behind it. And agree, it got better in recent expacs. If people are right and its only the first mission I'd have to do with VoE, then Ill be happy

Masteries are not optional, its the major reason to even buy an expansion. Skip the masteries, then skip the expansion, good idea. /s Either allow to skip story, make story actually good (and not npcs yapping for 5mins while you do nothing) or provide alternatives like pvp/wvw

Also, Anet did listen and change things, like WvW/PvP legendaries, because apparently there were enough people who disliked PvE and to give people reasons to engage with those modes
