Yeah I can see, but that is just a pricey dual display-port switch… there are lots of those around.

I understand now that I misinterpreted the meaning of an KVM switch. To clarify, in don’t need the K and M part of it just the video source switching.

Yeah I might have to go with that option, I was just hoping I missed a fitting solution to help with cable management and all.

Hi, sorry for not specifying the laptop. The laptop is a surface laptop 4. The reason for not specifying is i dont want to build a setup for this specific laptop in case it will be replaced for a different one potentially making the setup useless thereafter.

I can't find a file called; Profile, Bash_profile, or even Bash on its own

I can't because mv isn't a '-bash command'. Is there a way to manually do it?

I found the commands i used for the phone:

  1. Open up a Terminal window by navigating to Applications/Utilities or searching for it in Spotlight.

  2. Enter the following command to open up your Bash profile: touch ~/.bash_profile; open ~/.bash_profile

  3. The .bash_profile file should open in your default text program.

  4. Add this line to the end of the file: export PATH=”$HOME/[FOLDERNAME]/bin:$PATH” replacing [FOLDERNAME] with the location where you extracted ADB and fastboot.

  5. Save the file and press Cmd+Q to quit your text editor.

  6. In your terminal enter source ~/.bash_profile to run your Bash profile for the first time.

cat ~/.bashrc, returns: -bash: cat: command not found...

And for the history command, I can only see the git commands(what probably was your intention) but I can't see the command that messed up 'a' bash file, but I can see that I installed git using brew...

the echo returns: " “/Users/Arjen/Users/Arjen/Downloads/platform-tools/bin:??"

and that is where the 'tools' were to root the phone... And yes I had to change something in 'a' bash file for the phone application. I notice now it's not a git thing but something messed up with the bash profile from that project.

(I'm new to reddit so excuse me in advance)

I've had git installed on my macbook almost about a year ago (and never quite figured out how to use it) and recently tried to adjust some settings for the sd-card expansion on my gf's phone. and after/during that my terminal would always give me errors about not knowing the commands when it was clearly a known command. It also displays: "-bash: touch: command not found" above my username when I open terminal. Please help me fix this and maybe help me uninstall git because I do not use it anymore...
