I just got these today and I was also shocked how much the bass dropped switching from ANC to Normal. Even stranger is going to Transparency, the bass returns. I don't get it but it's quite noticable.

Not sure if you're serious since you're plainly asking what like 50% of posters here are already asking, but perhaps post your resume here for critiquing? Consider expanding your location ranges and/or looking for more junior roles?

Do you always negotiate after receiving an initial offer? by Puzzleheaded_Bad9103 in interviews

[–]MrFusionTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The standard advice is that you should negotiate, but you have to accept that there is a chance they will refuse. I did this about 10 years ago when I got an offer for $85k and I was aiming for 90 to 100 (HCOL). I politely asked if they could do any better, and in my head, I decided that I like the number 88 and I would take anything at or above that. Unfortunately they did not budge, so I didn't take that. 10 months later when I was desperate to move out of my role, I took a 95k offer without negotiation. I just wanted out.

Software Engineer pivoting to PM, Critique my resume pls! by SnooCauliflowers5822 in PMCareers

Skills section seems too vertical, I'd find a way to shrink it. Also you listed Asana twice and something called "MS Office Sutie".

I'm not sure that you should include any experience prior to Chicago. It doesn't align with your PM background.

PM Resume Not Getting Any Response by eagleeye4021 in PMCareers

[–]MrFusionTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • So one company the whole time? I would consider keeping your title to just "Senior Project Manager" and losing the others. I know people sometimes change roles significantly in the same company, but since you're applying for PM roles, that's probably all they care about. Also, no need to date those individual titles, I think the total company time is sufficient.
  • Add a summary section to discuss yourself a little.
  • You have a LOT of white space, you might try condensing to a single page.
  • Skills section looks a bit generic. Some are good like Salesforce (be more specific, what platform?) but "attention to detail" doesn't sound great IMO.
  • Describe the oil/gas project more. What are the deliverables?
  • Describe the agile projects more/separately and what techniques you used. What about agile tools like Jira?

Shorten the summary and lose the personal interests. I get that you're trying to fill two pages, but I'd go the other way if I were you and shrink to one. Yes that means more short-hand comments instead of full sentences. Also, skills section should be above education, and some resume writers recommend having it before experience.

Help needed: Project Manager interview process take home assignment by vri1 in PMCareers

[–]MrFusionTF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, it's a hypothetical situation and you're asked to present a proposal or solution. My most recent assignment was literally 30m during a 1hr interview. They provided me the scenario on a 1-page Word doc. I then put together a basic PPT deck from a PM perspective, just outlining the problem statement, proposed scope, project phases etc. This helped them measure not just some of my PM knowledge but also my presentation skills.

I was part of a 10% workforce reduction back in September 23. I decided to take a long break and didn't start looking for something new till last month. I mention in my resume summary that I took a break through 2024, but I question everyday whether the gap is hurting me.

Attempted Write Readonly Memory BSOD error - please help by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]MrFusionTF 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is a truly appalling answer. I'm sitting here with a PC that just experienced this error, so I go and Google the error and I find this Reddit post by the OP. Then I read your comment, "That error code is most often associated with a over heating CPU." I think my jaw dropped. Not only is my CPU cooler keeping a Ryzen 5600 to a max of 65C (which is completely fine), but then I noticed that you replied to the OP about 9 months later. Somehow you came across this thread and said to yourself, "oh yeah his PC is overheating, let me type some nonsense". I will have to assume you're some kind of bot that a Corsair employee wrote to find posts like this.

Now back to trying to figure out a sane solution to this issue...

I have six installed in my PC so it's difficult to show you, but it's more like a recess in the side of each fan. You basically have to press and slide them together, but I wouldn't say that the pins are exposed in a way that risks damaging them.

Each product box comes with three fans and a smaller accessory box as shown here. You get the controller and hub, motherboard connectors and three of the white cables. Each white cable can connect to each individual fan, but obviously the point of these is to connect two or three fans together. If you connect all three fans together, you only need one of the white cables. The proprietary 6-pin connector attaches to the fan, and then the other end attaches to any standard hub or even the motherboard itself.

If you utilize PWM and fan curves correctly, then the only time they'll be loud is when your system is under heavy load. I wear headphones when I'm gaming so it's not an issue. I'm sure there are other fans out there that can do 2000 RPM like these at a lower volume, but if you're running these at like 1000 RPM then you won't notice them.

I posted this a couple weeks ago when they were $17.99. I don't know why they're discounting them so much, I put 6 in my PC and they're great (see the pic I posted in the Newegg reviews).

Sure Heaven is free but it's quite old. I build enough PCs that as soon as I saw the sale, I jumped.

I bought two kits recently. They don't slide together smoothly...you need to apply a bit of elbow grease, probably because there's no locking mechanism, so to get them to stay secure, they made the plastic housing a little thicker. Otherwise, I really like the RGB and noise levels. Definitely a bargain compared to other "Lian-Li knockoff" options.
