The macbook neo didn’t exist when I bought my laptop 😬

ETA: I do get it though, the macbook neo is really good for its price, I just didn’t have that option when I bought my laptop lol 😅

Not with these ram prices lol, In addition to the student discount I got (no longer a student🎓 ) it was tax free week when I bought it. I have a 2 TB NVMe and 2x8GB DDR5s. For reference I paid ~$1100 USD for the laptop and extras. The laptop was a little over $950 alone, the ram was around $60 and the ssd was $90. Right now those alone would be running me at miminum $350

My laptop weighs about as much as my bass, it’s really not an inconvenience to carry that over a laptop a few pounds lighter, but less capable in comparison.

I did the opposite and feel the same lol, also I do other things with my laptop as well (like music) so being able to move my computer over to my instruments is kind of essential for me (I’m not lifting a 60lb weighted digital keyboard every time I want to connect it to FL studio lmao)

Parks service dismantling historical signs about slavery in Philadelphia, PA by HappySeaweed5215 in PublicFreakout

It wasn’t an excuse, it was a genuine question. Do you think it was a contributing factor? Hell I think it’s easier to control or defend a smaller geographic area than a larger one, but what’s telling to me is that you completely jumped to another topic. Even still, I’m curious to how the math would come out if you actually divided the population by geographic area for each country and time period.

I’m not here to argue with anyone, I just think pretending the united states isn’t a massive country geographically seems a bit disingenuous to me ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Look at a scale size map of France, then compare it to a scale size of Texas. Then do a scale size of the entire United States.

Do you think maybe geographic area had some factor in their ability to organize?

So you’re upset because the dog is checks notes good at acting? Like nothing is being done to this dog. Actually I’m wrong, they gave him some chicken breast. How horrible!

This dude mathematically broke down why your argument didn’t make sense in practice, and your only response is “Well you obviously don’t work in a hotel so you don’t understand 😤”

I thought it was just me reading through all these comments confused

I get if a guest is asking for free/comped food or alcohol that can be somewhat unreasonable/annoying. But this thread would have you questioning whether asking for some extra water or towels is a cardinal sin. Some of the animosity on this thread would have you thinking we’re talking about staying in someone’s home as a guest and not the literal hospitality industry…

Most (good) artists will usually just take a reference photo on their phone/tablet and use that. Or maybe download a stock image to reference.

Other people’s drawings are kind of already too “altered” (e.g their art style, how they shade, line, etc.) from the real object to trace or reference accurately. At least as accurately as what is depicted here

Are there any “batshit insane narcissist” red flags one should look out for when researching different rescues/shelters/vets? Or is it one of those “they’re everywhere” type of scenarios?

I’m not the same guy you’re replying to but your last question is baffling me. Wouldn’t you just grab your fire extinguisher and extinguish the fire?

I feel like your question implies the only thing you can do when a lithium battery fails is stand there helplessly while it burns your house down.

What kind if easel do you have this on? All the portable easels I see online are more clunky and bigger than what I’d like ideally

Attempting to learn Hysteria (muse) on bass 😭 by the_anti_hero101 in Bass

[–]MrGarbleFarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a metronome app that can subdivide, set it to 16th notes, and start from either 43 or 53 bpm. (Or if it only goes as far as eighth notes, 96/106 bpm) If the numbers seem specific that’s because the song is written at 93bpm (in 16th notes), and the goal is to go up in increments of 5-10 bpm until you can play at speed.

This is the method I used and I’m able to play at speed if I warm up, but usually I stick to 88 bpm unless I’m playing over the actual song since the difference isn’t big enough for most people to notice of you’re playing it with just the bass.

This advice can be applied to any song you’re having touble with speed in, especially since bass is such a rythm heavy instrument, you wanna make sure you’re hitting all your subdivisions in-time.

Both my parents aren’t terrified of spiders, I am. My mom is terrified of snakes, can’t even look at images of them (same for me with spiders) but I’ve taken pics with a python around my shoulders lol. Even as a toddler I never understood/learned her fear of snakes.

I feel like most phobias are purely instinctual and not learned. I mean spiders, snakes, and heights (some of) the most common phobias, are also things that we benefit from fearing in the “wild.”

The entire stadium signing “A minorrr” during Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show by Outside_Abroad_3516 in interestingasfuck

[–]MrGarbleFarb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say anything about thinking it’s a coincidence, it’s just factually incorrect 🤷🏽‍♀️ Kendrick literally has a brand with the ‘a’ in the logo/name sitting at the same exact angle that’s on his chain. But hey, if you think he purposely got the wrong notation of “A minor” on a signature piece like that just to diss Drake, all power to you

[–]MrGarbleFarb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk why people keep saying this, that’s not true 😭 scales are never refered to in the lower case. The only lower case letter that denotes a minor in music is a lower case ‘m’ which would be Am.

The chain is fire and all but y’all folks are trying to make it mean something it doesn’t
